That is nonsense . The government and even the Kruger family wouldn`t allow it. There is plenty on the supply side. Billions of trees abound in our forests. I`d be more worried about certain medicines that rely on China and India.

My kids asked me what do we do if we ran out?? All worried. Told them the basement bathroom shower would then be at use for clean up's ;) And I was serious haha

:pound: Now there are lines for liquor.

This weak virus has proved to the world one thing. Most nations were/are not prepared for a pandemic. Thank god it was not the quick spreading strain of H5N1. We would have seen millions, of all ages, dead by now.

Rubbing alcohol is much more effective and cheaper. There were rumours that the SAQ would cut the hours that they are open....so another case of panic buying.

I was kind of joking... But yes alcohol is a good disinfectant. But way to pricey better to drink it ;)

Bleach water is 95 cents for 1.5 liter... Mix a cup with 5 gallons of water and you have a great cheap disinfectant.

Cheers,

Ok Good to know
Getting liquored up used to be problematic but now it’s part of the solution/cure

As far as panic buying goes personally I’m very disappointed that a lot of folks out there don’t have access to hand sanitizers , masks , gloves , rubbing alcohol etc
Government and stores should had done a much better job rationing these items .
Instead we are seeing the unethical price gouging practice which is shameful and doesn’t help one bit in this crisis

Not a rumor! It's true! The SAQ located inside the Metro's grocery near my place closed at 6pm today (usually open till 11pm) and the grocery at 8pm!

That is stupid. It will just create more instore traffic and longer line ups.

Well I`m OK . I used to buy 3 bottles of wine a week for my escort friends . No more escorts no more wine. I don`t drink alone.

Around the corner
I am not ok with it, I still have a brandy every day with my elderly relative ( I am guessing that is why she is still going strong in her mid 90s).

They have also stopped home delivery, now you need to pick it up at the nearest post office.
I used to look forward to seeing the post man.

Well Walmart by my house has finally come their senses and has put up signs that specifically ask customers to only take one package of toilet paper, should of done that 2 weeks ago, better late then never.

By allowing customers to buy as much as they can carry their supply chain is stretched to the limit. One customer gets a big pile while another gets none. They have to call the warehouse to resupply the store. This takes up space in their big trucks for other merchandise they can make a profit on.

I went to the Walmart yesterday and there were no disinfectant wipes and no toilet paper. Thankfully, there was plenty of paper towels and trigger spray disinfectant cleaners. Look for trigger spray products that contain a quaternary ammonium disinfectant and use this and a paper towel. Make you own medical/disinfectant wipe and save money. I don't know if the data is out on the efficacy on Coronavirus but they ought to and they won't make colors run in fabrics like hypochlorite bleach. Look for benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, methylbenzethonium chloride, cetalkonium chloride, cetylpyridinium chloride, cetrimonium, cetrimide, dofanium chloride, tetraethylammonium bromide, didecyldimethylammonium chloride and domiphen bromide
