I am from the US, next week, I will be in Montreal Mon to Thu, staying around St Laurent / St Catherin. The whole purpose of the trip is to try a bunch of SP's... maybe 4 to 6.

I do not want to be inside the hotel room rest of the time and wondering what I can do in the Montreal downtown area to keep myself busy. Looks like Sr Laurent has many bars and china town is close by.

I am in the same boat, I would also like to enjoy myself between SP's. I will be arriving in Montreal next week. Let me know if you found any cool bars or things to do in the downtown area that you recommend. Thx

Your location makes it pretty easy to reach most places within a 10-15$ uber ride.

What kind of place are you specifically looking for ? There are a lot of bars, restaurants etc. Would just be helpful to include an idea of the ambiance, age group, style and budget you might be aiming for to get more replies.

FYI, since covid, many of the "better" restaurants are booked quickly and you might want to think about making some reservations.

I'm seeking more of a lounge/bar. Nothing too loud, just a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of ladies in the 30 yr old age group. Budget is not a concern, I'm looking to enjoy myself to the max while I am in town. Hopefully bring a single lady back to my room.
If not, I'll call a SP, It seems like MTL has no shortage of sexy SP's to choose from and it seems more socially acceptable then back home, NYC.

Thanks

I used to know a few lounges in Montreal. Seems like the clientele is getting way younger as I get older so I kinda lost interest in places filled with 18-25 year olds and extremly loud music.
Also, since covid, a few bars have closed down so I've had to start searching all over again -- which has been a blast so far!
I look forward to others chiming in with a few reccos, but in the mean time here is my recipe to a fun night:

Marcus (Four seasons hotel downtow)
They have an nice lounge area as well as a fine dining experience (currently my favorite in Montreal). I often start off with drinks at the bar alone as its close to my office... but don't expect to be alone long if you're social.

Fish Bone (old Montreal - reserve for 9-10pm)
Good food, great cocktails and gorgeous women. Try calling and reserving a spot at the far end of the bar... as it will provide the best view. Else you'll have your back to the entire room.

Here's a list of a few known speakeasies

Want some live music in a more non-classy setting ? Give "Bistro à Jojo" a try its in the Latin Quarter... sometimes just a beer and very happy drunk people is a nice change of scenery

As for touristy things... I'd be more the type to stop by the SQDC to buy weed oil and grab a Hop-On-Hop-Off tour bus to get a feeling of the city.

Note: sadly there isn't much SP activity late at night. Most agency girls will be done way before midnight. This has a been a very sad thing for me personally as I'm not one to book an appointment during the day and dislike pre-booking as I tend to hobby only when all else fails... I much prefer after a fun time out with a few drinks and some socializing. Call me old fashioned.

Just type "exploring Montreal" in youtube and you'll find a whole bunch of suggestions for places to go and things to eat.

One of my favorite things to do is grab a coffee and stroll through the streets of Old Montreal...makes you feel like one is in Europe. Neverbored is spot on about Marcus at the Four Seasons...spent two early evenings there pre-covid having drinks and my eyes were bulging out of my head with the ladies there, unfortunately, was with client so needed to behave so can't attest to how approachable any would have been.

So many things to do in and around downtown Montreal.

Check out some live music. I live at Hurley’s late Friday and Saturday nights while in town. Great live music and a wonderful crowd. I always end up chatting with people around the bar. Check out the jazz club too if you’re into music.

Restaurants are really good, but avoid pizza and wings. It’s almost like they’re deliberately bad. Hooters closing was mercy killing. I don’t know what that place was, but it wasn’t a Hooters (from a guy who goes to the original in Clearwater a couple times a year). I spent less time at the DMV than I did waiting for 10 wings and the useless bartender to pour me a beer.

The casino is pretty good (I’ll take AC, Vegas and the Pennsylvania casinos over Montreal any day) if you like blackjack or slots.

And during the day, go for a bike ride along the water. It’s a bit chilly now. It’s really fun exploring and you feel so much better for your sessions.

Olympic park is really cool. I took the tour of Olympic Stadium. And then there’s hockey at the Bell Center.

last but not least…Tim Horton’s on Peel or near Canada Place near Marriott Chateau. Mandatory in the morning.

Doing this all again up there this summer!

Robert, Hurley's is one of my new favorite spots!

Recently, I've met all kinds of people there. Some friendly people have passed by there. I like the bartenders too.

Hurley’s is a great place. The decor, from the old wooden bars and shiny brick walls, is really inviting on a cold January night. I’m not sure if Solstice still plays there on the weekends, but they are great. I haven’t been up there post pandemic yet.

My routine is often an appointment with Euphoria in early evening, dinner, an evening at Hurley’s, then a late night appointment (was usually with the now defunct Asservissante).

I had a routine too for a while.

I remember every time I had a session at Euphoria, it's usually in the morning or early afternoon....I would have my Euphoria session, then I would go to either McLean's Pub or Piranha Bar after for a drink.

But now I go to Hurley's more often lol

McLeans is another favorite bar, actually tied with Hurley’s. Great Bloody Caesar and no place better for a Saturday breakfast or brunch at the bar. Good people and bartenders, although the greatWaloo mentioned a recent menu change. And he said Kenny the bartender left. He was fun to chat with on Saturday late morning. I’ve been missing those kinds of weekends

Hey tourists, if you want great Montreal style hot dogs, go to the Montreal Pool Room!

I'm eating lunch there right now.

I'd say Montreal style hot dogs are unique and worth trying out, if you're visiting the city.

Ang cheap too! I had two hot dogs, medium fries and a coke for under $10!

What's a Montreal style hotdog? I grew up around here and never heard about that.

Bun open on top, not side. Steamed not boiled or grilled, all dressed means ketchup, mustard (both usually applied with a stick), coleslaw and onions….MPR is an institution…1912!! Back in 90s used to go after bars for 50 cent steamies….

Marcus is fun but food there sucks unfortunately and the service isn’t good. Otherwise great place to see good looking people

Ah Asservissante, Martin and his Range Rover. I think you can probably find some of the ladies in the indy section of merb
