It may be time to think about forming a new party. Not Republican, not Democrat.
Because, to be more divided than is the US. it's impossible.

Voting for a new party would be about as popular as asking Americans to hand in their firearms or give up watching football and baseball.
There are traditions to be maintained and families have long standing history of being a Republican or Democrat a new party with the current generations has zero chance.
