13 Republican members of the House voted to pass the long-awaited infrastructure package on Friday, and it immediately caused a meltdown among the MAGA-loving Republicans in the Chamber. Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Madison Cawthorn, and several others have vowed to make these Republicans pay, with some going as far as saying that they'll be promoting primary challengers to these 13 Republicans.

Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains why these MAGA Republicans are so mad.

This thread is about the 2024 election, but many here still want to talk about the previous administration. That's because the media just won't let it go and that's what they continue to feed you on the fake news media outlets.

A much different reality here in the states. In the previous administration we remember how cheap gasoline was to fill up our cars, how everyone had jobs, etc. Nobody is still talking about bleach, insults, tweets except for the Trump haters who are unwilling to blame themselves for what is happening right now. What Americans are talking about is how inflation is out of control, gasoline prices are continuing to go up, how we were recently self reliant with energy and now we are begging OPEC for help after shutting down the Colonial pipeline, the disaster at our southern border, the disaster in Afghanistan, supply shortages, COVID, and a dysfunctional administration that has lost touch with the American people.

Instead of bringing Americans together, the current administration has further driven us apart. The democrats are basically giving the Republicans a guaranteed win in the midterms and the presidential election. These elections are far enough away that the democrats could turn it around, but the current administration continues to shit the bed so often that it doesn't look like they will have a shot. Biden getting re elected doesn't look good and if he decides to not run his VP definitely has no shot. The reality is Americans need to work on fixing the problems that are happening now, not continuing to give opinions on an administration that is no longer in office.

The guy in the White House is the guy to blame for the problems we are having today and he's going to be the reason the democrats give it all away to the Republicans.

It's beyond fatigue at this point to try to engage with people who don't know how the world works.

To Greatwalloo, you honestly believe that the POTUS (in this case, Trump) is directly responsible for low gas prices or how many jobs the economy has? The actual reality is we place undue blame on a president when the economy is generally, with a few exceptions, its own engine. (By the way, why would shutting down the Keystone pipeline make gas prices go up? It was never operational. I think you're talking about Keystone because Colonial is up and running. Saying Keystone made price go up is like saying you had to take a pay cut because you didn't win the lottery. Btw, it's hilarious that you'd include COVID in your laundry list of complaints when the last administration's approach was basically letting as many people get infected).

The information is out there if you want to be genuinely informed. Aside from gas demand picking up because we're not trapped at home anymore, OPEC has cut back supply to recoup years of low oil prices. Neither factor has anything to do what president currently in office. Even the UK is experiencing what we are at the gas pump. The same applies to inflation: from Canada to the EU to the US prices are up for everyone. It's almost as if something global happened that led to prices going up for everyone.

Gas prices are up on Biden's watch. Biden has continued to pay people to stay home making it difficult for companies to hire workers. More people died of COVID in the states under Biden's watch than the previous year and that's was without vaccines. Biden is doing a horrible job and it's going to be crystal clear how Americans feel when they go to vote. You speak about fatigue, how the world works, etc. My post was about the upcoming elections. Your post has nothing to do with the 2024 presidential run. It's beyond fatigue at this point to try to engage with people who don't know how the threads work. It's easy to point out the problems, play the blame game, but it takes a leader to figure this shit out. How are the democrats going to solve this issue when they lose more seats in the midterms and the Whitehouse in 2024? That's what we are talking about here. The dems are going to be destroyed in the midterms and 2024 and nobody on the left is doing anything about it.

If Trump accepted reality, and stopped rallying, and stopped to say bullshit all the time, then the media wouldn't have any material to publish, but this narcissist still wants to show off.
C’mon Sene. You of all people know where the fake news threads are.

Walloo, your post was about 2024 but you had a lot to say that was essentially one attribution error after another. You said more questionable things in your reply to me, but I'm not going to bother refuting for several reasons. You referring to something as fake news is the most telling enough. Everything that clashes with conservative worldview is "fake news." It doesn't matter if it's objectively true: you don't like it therefore it's "fake."

I will agree with you on one thing: the Dems are going to have a rough midterms, and that has more to do with history than anything actually going on in the country now. Wasn't Trump bragging about the stock market and the unemployment rate? Are those metrics worse now that Biden is in office? The answer is no, of course. I mentioned some posts ago that the opposition party always gains in midterms, based on at least 40 years. I read somewhere else that trend has actually mostly held since the Civil War.

There were no errors on what I was saying. This is how Americans feel about the issues. Your comment on how the "world works" was irreverent, smug, and had nothing to do with the thread. You can not bother to refute this, but you should have never brought it up in the first place. I was contributing to the thread, you were not. The fake news I speak of is the same fake news that is trying to paint a pretty picture of the United States while gas prices are up, inflation is up, crime is up, and on and on and on. These issues will be front and center during the midterms and the 2024 election. That's all that I was saying. Americans (on the left and right) have given up on all news media. The fake news I speak of is not limited to CNN or MSNBC, it includes Fox and Newsmax, etc. So by me referring to all news outlets as fake news doesn't fit your "most telling" conservative worldview". My opinion is that all news should be first considered fake news until you have time to find out the truth. You on the other hand will simply take what is fed to you by the fake news and call it fact.

Continually bringing up Trump is irrelevant until he throws his hat in the ring. What he did during his term is done, we are talking about the current administration and how it will effect the mid terms and the 2024 election. The fake news will continue to bring up the previous administration to make people look the other way as to what is happening right in front of their faces. The United States is not doing all that great right now, and it all falls in the lap of the current president.

Haha. Smug? Because I told you the president has nothing to do with the price of gasoline and gets undue credit or blame for that? After I told you the same high cost had nothing to do with the president and other places are experiencing it, you still doubled down with "Well gas prices are up on Biden's watch." It's evident that you want a scapegoat, not facts.

For further context, gas prices had increased a lot by the time George W left. When did they come down? When Obama was in office. Even if one could argue that the wars in Middle East (started by Bush) destabilized the region, there isn't a single thing Obama did to get good gas prices. He merely got the political credit.

The same is to be said with this fake news that you mention is not talking about how bad things are. Plenty of TV broadcasts from ABC to CNN covered high crime months ago and are covering inflation now. Legacy media might not be flogging the border on a constant basis like Fox News does, but that's about it. If you search "US inflation hits 30 year high" on YouTube right now, the first few results are from CNN and CBS from three days ago. So you'll have to tell me who isn't covering it (I don't watch Newsmax or OAN) or which source you don't consider to be fake. My original point about your concept of fake news still holds. You clearly trust a specific news source that makes you think no one else is covering those topics you mentioned. Since you likely didn't do the reporting yourself, that means you trust your source.

You're within your rights to dislike Biden. But disliking him for something that isn't attributable to him is your feelings and not objective reality.

You are correct that this thread is about 2024. But if you suggest that good economic indicators from 4 years ago (the ones you mentioned) were due to the person in office, of course the person in office back then is going to come up again. Furthermore, it's impossible to not talk about him because he doesn't go away. Most ex-presidents initially retreat from the public eye and are thrilled to be no longer in the spotlight. But that thought process doesn't apply to the child that obviously didn't get enough attention as a kid.

Donald Trump gave the strongest indication yet that he is planning on running for President in 2024.
During an interview with conservative talk host Hugh Hewitt, Trump said that his base was going to be "very angry" if he decides not to run. Trump rarely, if ever, does anything that he knows will upset his base, and this statement is a good sign that he will be running for President again.

First time in the history where a Presidential Candidate will be in court during his campaign to defend himself from all those lawsuits and crimes.

I don't believe Trump will run. I don't believe he'll chance losing again. He dug himself a hole and has to figure out what to do.

I suspect he'll keep hinting about running so his base will keep sending him money.

If he run in 2024, he could be the first candidate to lose the popular vote 3 times !

Donald Trump declares himself the 45th and 47th President while out golfing, another signal that he plans to run for President in 2024

It's terrifying thinking 45% of any poll would be in favor of trump being president again.

The fact that he's even allowed to run is shocking. Don't keep giving him this credibility.

So Donnie saying he's #45 & possibly #47 is finally an admission that he lost, bigly.
No, he just didn't realize what he said.

Donald Trump delivers a dangerous speech to the CPAC 2022 audience in Florida, appearing to announce his 2024 Presidential candidacy during the speech.
