I wonder if anyone is doing a list of people who said the acquitted due to the "jurisdiction" idea but also say Trump is guilty.
It would not surprise me if it adds up to more than enough to have actually convicted him.
People hate Trump. McConnell never liked Trump, he had a working relationship with him, I’m sure he didn’t think Trumps intelligent or politically savvy. He used trump to push his conservative agenda which included conservative judges. Mitch used Trumpy and will do it again. Trump didn’t even have a platform to run on in ‘16 other than build a wall and have Mexico pay for it. He had the Calvin Klein undy guy and chachi from happy days speak @ the convention. Wtf? The one legit guy he asked didn’t even endorse him during his convention speech and got booed off and got railed by constituents @ a breakfast the next morning and here he is. Would most def had voted to convict if it was a closed secret ballot he’s such a POS.

Serious? Before covid and the BLM protests Trump had the economy firing on all cylinders. Who should be sued is the Dems for not stopping the BLM riots in their states and causing millions in damages and deaths.

The Dems don’t control BLM, but do control the police force in many states and can make a request for the armed forces to be sent in when there are riots, looting or burning and citizens are put in danger.
This is a lame excuse that Trump was in charge.
Peaceful protest is one thing but burning looting and rioting should be dealt with by force no matter what the cause is.
I don’t see how burning down buildings and carrying off large screen tv helps any cause, or holding up criminals as heroes.
I agree that there is systematic racism in the US and even here in Quebec and there should be no room for it, but rioting , looting and burning down buildings does not help their cause just like carrying American flags and attacking government buildings did not help Trump or the Republicans.

Perhaps because both involved rioting and breaking into buildings and then one being justifiably held accountable and arrests being made the other given a free pass as a worthy cause.

It's become quite obvious that all except the most ignorant and deluded Republican senators were completely aware that Trump was guilty but voted to acquit just because they're scared of the right-wing wackos, scared of losing the votes from Trump cultists, and scared of the traitor himself. At least Mitch explained how guilty he feels Trump is, but the Trump cultists will NEVER listen to the facts. That's what Trump counts on: the abject stupidity of his followers and the total cowardice of his enablers.

Former President Donald Trump issued a statement that attacked Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) just days after McConnell delivered a speech where he said Trump was responsible for the US Capitol riot.
They should have impeached him.
