Not to mention people in the crowd were videotaping the shooter before and mentioning it theres a guy on the roof and it was ignored. Snipers had him in sight and didnt shoot the guy before he took the shot. Theres alot of questions that need answers.

Do you think he would have himself shot by some wacko? The bullet was inches from his brain. No one would take that risk even in a controlled environment and with a pro, which this was not.

Crazy that this could happen in 2024, especially with someone as controversial as Trump. You would think he would be better protected. Peoples are making joke that part of his Secret Service is Melissa McCarthy. She particulary looked very incompetent in the video.
I think it's surprising it hadn't happened yet - given the level of rhetoric and hyperbole that goes around about all this.
The problem is that this assassination attempt should have been foiled before it occurred. The Secret Service is tasked with coverage of the entire visible perimeter of the stage of which this rooftop was in that visible perimeter. How the shooter made it onto the roof despite being observed as suspicious and with an AR-15 rifle, and then how he managed to get 4 shots off, killing one person and injuring 3, will be aggressively investigated and then investigated some more. Although he was shot dead by SS counter snipers, the SS's job here is also preventative as well as reactive. It seems like the preventative measures were not fully up to task.
