How many reviews does a fellow merbite must make before you you trust them?
(Trust might be a big word lol)

For me, I think 3 gives someone credibility.
We all have to start somewhere but when I see “new member” I take their first review with a grain of salt.

And if they only once and never again after 3 months, I completely disregard their review
(Some indies only have these reviews).

If I see an SP with pages and pages of reviews most likely she is good to book. Don’t really pay attention to the exact reviewer because he can give like 20 Os to her in that one hour period and planning to lock her down with a ring with his 10-10-10 review I feel quite inadequate. I just do a quick skim of the reviews and that is about it. With these reviews I pay more attention to the negative ones if there are any and that is also a quick read thru.

There are a few fellow merbites whom I hold in high regard for their experience and opinions on the hobby, they know who they are. Then, there are others whom I disregard, for various reasons, they remain nameless.

Having said that, I learned from personal experience to take all reviews as someone else's personal experience and not mine. This I can say as I had high expectations for one or two SPs reviewed here with impeccable reviews and when I met them my expectations were not met, as those expectations were based upon others' experiences.

I would note that I appreciate the words of the SP when they do post about their end of the deal and what they experience as a provider. This gives me great insight into how to be a better client and what is considered acceptable and unacceptable.

I think we should take every reviews with a grain of salt because experiences vary for different people.

You can always go with your gut feeling.

There are great reviewers on this board, but tastes and likes are different for everyone
I Second KRS's opinion. We are different people with different tastes. If it it blast for someone, may be for me it is just better experience.

lol your replies are golden. Between you and fadi , not sure who takes it .

on a side note i think 90 percent of reviews on this site are over exaggerated, Very few are authentic . End of the day u to each their own

Post count doesn't matter to me much. In fact, sometimes I trust a new reviewer more than I trust merbites with many many reviews. I read rave reviews for SPs I know for sure give mediocre service, so I definitely don't trust those guys.

There are maybe 3 merbites I know has similar taste and standards as me, so I trust their reviews

Well when I see those situations, 1 review then nothing afterwards and it’s been like 6 months, seems like a shill. That’s why I completely disregard those reviews.

Two. Anything less than two I don’t trust.
Even less if it’s the member’s only post.
What takes the cake for me is: first post/review left on the same day of joining the site.

To be honest, I no longer believe in reviews. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading everyone reviews, but I prefer to evaluate them for myself rather than for others. The main issue on Merb is that if the female does not provide the girlfriend experience, she will receive a negative review. It's a major problem on Merb; it's unfortunate, but it's true. That's why I never read a review before scheduling a date with a girl. I read a lot of negative reviews about SPs, but she was the full opposite with me; she was a true gem. The other issue is that when people find a true gem, they tend to hide it or keep it a secret. Reading reviews is enjoyable, but it depends on your perspective.
