Honestly think that they could have done another season of Strike Back. That show had the perfect balance of violence, sex, and story.

With all due respect to MASH, I can't say that it was cancelled before it's time when Firefly only ran for 13 episodes while MASH had 13 seasons. its my absolute favorite show, and I can only imagine what would happen if it had been allowed to grow and mature.

Jericho: It's about what it would take to survive in a post nuclear apocalyptic world as a town. It had a great premise and a really strong cast. One of the only shows that didn't bs with the old good guys vs bad guys motif. Couldn't stop watching it.

Sirens: incredibly funny comedy about paramedics. Loved that show. It only got 2 short seasons.

The Time Tunnel (1966-67)

Who can forget the first episode of Time Tunnel when James Darren as Dr. Anthony Newman travels back in time on a random travel test, and he ends up landing on the deck of the Titanic on its maiden and final voyage, of all places. Dr. Newman then implores the Captain of the Titanic to change the course of the ship because it's going to hit an iceberg and sink and many will die. Instead of listening to him, the captain has him locked up as a stowaway, and dismisses him as a plant/troll from another cruise line who is attempting to sabotage the success and record swiftness of the maiden transatlantic voyage of the Titanic.

Why didn't the Captain just listen???????????????? Dr. Newman gave him the chance to save over a thousand lives........and instead, history happened.

Sad that brilliant shows such as "The Brink" are cancelled while terminally boring, neither amusing nor informative drivel such as "Getting On", "Sensitive Skin" and "Togetherness" somehow stay on HBO. One wonders if the producers of the last three are world class fellatrices.

The Time Tunnel (1966-67)

Thirty episodes about two time travellers who would land in various historical periods/events. It starred James Darren and Robert Colbert. It was produced by the great Irwin Allen. I watched it in french as a teenager in thelate 70's as it was called "Au Coeur du Temps". I remember taping the episodes on my old Sony Betamax. I bought the DVDs a few years ago and still watch an episode once in a while. It never gets old!

Salut a tous

I believe Hannibal season 1 was much better than season 2. Actually they lost me after E3 of season 2.

I actually found Hannibal only got better with each season. DGreen, you really should have stuck with it for season 2, cuz the season finale was absolutely mind-blowing! One of the best season finales EVER.

I loved the season 3 finale too...was a great way to end the show, if it truly is the end.

Dunno if anybody mentioned it, but Twin Peaks was a great show from David Lynch. Truly a ground breaking show, and ahead of its time when it first came out. There is no X-Files, Lost, etc. without Twin Peaks, imho.

It was short lived in 1990-1991 after only two seasons, but supposedly it's coming back on Showtime in 2017.

Jericho was also a tv show that i enjoyed very much. Especially the first season.

The Newsroom. I loved this show, smart, funny.

I loved the first season of The Newsroom. It was a very smart series, but i didn't like the comedy. I believe the show would have had a longer future had it left the comedy out of the series and keep it serious. By the end of the series, i was actually happy to see it end. I loved the ending.

That pilot episode was a great episode. Other memorable episodes for me were the Pearl Harbour episode where Tony meets himself as a kid (and his father), the French Revolution episode where they try to save Marie Antoinette and her young child, and The Alamo episode where they fight next to Davey Crockett and Colonel Travis.

Star Trek (the original series)

This great, ground-breaking sci-fi series lasted only 3 seasons, which is still shocking to learn today. NBC has a large share of the blame for the show's demise. It was very popular with tv watchers during the first season and they decided to slash the budget for season two. It was still popular by the time the second season ended, and the studio then slashed the budget even more which cut into the quality of the tv production. Its cancellation still ranks among television's biggest mistakes according to many polls.

For myself, i remember watching it as a very young child. But i fell in love with it as a teenager while watching it on a french tv channel....."La Patrouille du Cosmos".

UFO

This great British series first appeared on British and Canadian television in 1970. It was on tv for nearly two years and 26 episodes were made. I bought the series on dvd when dvd's became popular. The series was very well produced by the same producers of another favorite series of mine, Space 1999. Recently i watched a couple of UFO episodes and they never get old. It starred Ed Bishop and Michael Billington. Ed Bishop's unique look is what i remember most about this series.

As a pre-teen, i watched that great series both in english and in french. In french, it was called "Alerte dans l'Espace".

Spartacus was more of a mini-series. It wasn't cancelled. It had simply run its course. He was executed in the final episode, which we all knew was imminent if we knew his history. Great series, though. One of my favorites at the time.
