My first VIP and I really did enjoy it. Thanks to Jasmine for being a gracious host and making everyone feel welcome. Meghan the bartender was my first WOW of the evening. Met alot of other WOW ladies later in the evening as well. Also nice to meet other merb members who made me feel welcome as a newbie.

I am sorry I missed Heaven. I had met her earlier in the week and she looked fantastic in the dress she was wearing then. She said that was nothing compared to the special dress she had in store for the VIP party. But by 12:30 I was worn out and had to be up early the next day. Maybe I was lucky. If I had seen Heaven in her special dress, I wouldn't have been able to leave and I would have missed my morning wake up call.

From my perspective a dress code is not required...… we are adults and should be able to decide how to dress to impress. Certainly no ties and jackets in this heat.

I enjoyed the party alot, but this was my main gripe. I was surprised that the email two days before the party still emphasized a "Cocktail" dress code where we needed to at least wear dress pants, dress shirt, and a tie(!) regardless of the hot weather we've been having lately.

Also the place was hot as an oven, with no A/C which didn't help. I arrived there dressed with the requirements listed above, but ditched the tie and loosened the shirt 5 minutes into the party. I felt really bad for the people that showed up fully dressed in a suit.

Having a "dressed up" party could be interesting, but not in the summer (and certainly not while there's a heatwave going on).

For summer parties in the future, I think it'd be fun to make it summer themed (ie. Hawaiian shorts, shirts, etc). But if this is too casual, then business casual at worst (ie. dockers/slacks, dress or polo shirt, dress shoes). I noticed half of the people "ignored" the requirement, which is probably what I should have done in retrospect, lol.

Unfortunately for me at least VIP 10 didn`t come close to matching the vibe and ambiance of previous VIP parties.
The turnout was less than expected especially from females and Indies in particular. The venue lacked character . There was no a/c and few chairs or tables...

. When it comes to the venue... its true it does lack of ventilation inside. We where not that much and it got hot inside. If it would had been packed and/or a couple days earlier (or last weekend) during the canicule... ouch. More chairs and tables to sit at would had been cool too....As for the guests, i won't lie, its true i was expecting a lot of women..

This is why me and Detour get along so well. And why, I humbly think, girl like us. Because we are in this hobby only for the fantasy. We shrug off negative stuff that happens sometimes as fast as we can. Throw us just a few nice girl and we are happy as a kid in a toy's us Just read Detour's post below to confirm

Glad I missed it.

It was still a fun party, and I'm glad I went. But it was far from perfect, and I think helpful (as opposed to mean spirited) feedback will hopefully improve parties in the future.

The low turnout of SPs/MPs/clients/etc. was certainly another big problem. And the huge venue didn't help much with that...honestly, I would have preferred a smaller venue given the size of the party. It'd be more intimate/cozier, and probably would've lowered the party entrance fee as well.

CaptR your post is unfair. Quoting people out of context paints a completely negative picture that is not accurate. There was good and bad.

Jal constructive criticism in this case is very important. If changes are not made for the next VIP party then there won`t be any more parties because nobody will want to attend.


And yes holding the party in a smaller cozier venue like a club or restaurant would or should lower the entry fee substantially since drinks would subsidize the rental fee.

This can be a double side blade. Do you remember the old GG parties? That room was so small and it was jam packed, at times we barely had space to move :O Uber heat inside as well. During the summer time it was cool that we could go outside near the streets, but the one that was held during winter... ishhh. Still super hot and yet not easy to stay outside in the cold. But Im actually surprised it got so hot last party considering the size of the place and that specific day the heatwave was gone. Maybe giant fan could had definately help.

The thing is , due to the nature of the parties, im sure finding a room ain't that easy. Kinda hard to make it pass for a "business staff party".

I personally would have tons of ideas of what could be held as a party, but i don't think if they are realistic tought, either monetary speaking or due to the nature of our "business". Charge a cover too high and peoples won't show up, but if the cover ain't high enough then its harder to make it profitable. If i remember correctly during the GG/early VIP parties they had a deal that the room was free but the bar sold the alcool and therefore made tons of cash that way. The organising crew only made money on the cover.

There is tons of ideas that may seem super fun at first glance but they wouldn't be possible probably. For instance a beach party near a lake. They rent a residence on the beach, party can be as much outside as its inside, it could be held daytime and somebody could be hired to make hotdogs and such on the BBQ, but then going at the place itself wouldn't be easy, i myself would have to find somebody to drive me to and back afterward. Then we would attrack the neighbors eyes and if there selling alcool, im sure they don't get permits for that, so if the cops would show up... ouch. Maybe they could do a pre-paid highter cover and have beers as you want like the Unicorn House Party, just load the fridges or buy barrels and peoples self serve... That could go around the "selling alcool" problem but well i dunno. Still think it look super fun but unrealistic.

So yeah like i said im sure it ain't an easy task to organize these parties and i still lower my hat to Jasmine and the organizing crew to be willing to do it. I remember once we where at a bar, on the second floor, but there was "civilians" downstairs and some peoples didn't like that, even tough the venue was great otherwise (lots of space, even areas with chairs and tables we could sit at etc) Then the Halloween party some peoples complain because of the stairs... lol. Hard to please everybody.

Personally, i will say the House party was one of my favourite. I loved the mix of many different areas, beers included in the cover (personally i made it worth the higher cover lol) and obviously the possibility to have playtime in the bedrooms. Sure this mean girls leave the party area at times but there was only 3 bedroom so its not like at some point there wouldn't be girls to talk to. I wonder if the girls themselves prefer this or prefer its "party only". Cause having a possibility of working that night mean they can make a few extra bucks..

ANYWAY. Personally i had fun and like i said it was very nice to see both some familiar faces as well as new ones on each side (clients and SPs). I will definately want to attend the next one.

When it comes to the lower presence of indies compare to the other parties i don't know how to explain it really. Im sure mails and messages where send to indies. One thing in the past that i really enjoyed too was the surprises. I mean like the pornstars we had Jessie Storm, Vandall Vyxen, Anna Nikova, Shana Lane (even before she was at Euphoria) showing up at some of the parties. Kelly Summer and Amy Lee when they where part of goodgirls as well. Then at the house party there was some high end independants that made it, i was surprise and so exited to see Erika Delarose (she was with 2 friends as well). Thats pretty much what made it possible for me to book her later. Also one of the older GG party i remember a beautifull tall blonde, she was not there for long and i didn't had time to talk to her, but i am sure it was Savana Styles (she is readhead now but used to be blonde) when she was working in Montreal and Toronto as Lady Emanuelle. I am still so mad at myself for having missed her both at the party and as an SP altogether. She is a huge star now and i doubt she still come to work in Montreal lol and even if she did, im sure it would be 1000$/h or such.

But i know pornstars may not be everybodies fantasy... lol. But for me thats a "WOW HOLY SHIT" moment when one showed up. But im sure it would cost them a fair deal to invite a pornstar just for the sake of being there. (I mean if she ain't working as an SP)

Those GG parties were great. The place was small, but they pretty much let us do whatever we wanted (within reason, of course). Plus we had access to the terrasse in the summer, and they allowed us to lounge in the lobby. And of course, it was packed with women. Mike was very generous with his parties, in that he'd even have SPs from other agencies/indies/etc show up. Iggy was a pro in organizing those parties.

Honestly, I don't think we need to overthink these events and make them complicated. Just choose a venue with enough privacy, space and is centrally located so that everybody is able to attend. No complicated criteria (like classy dress codes, etc). And of course, there should be enough women to meet and greet. That's the whole reason for the event to begin with.

Ok, I'll chime in... I found it fun, even though I couldn't stay too long due to previous commitments.

I think the issue was not the location nor the attendance, but the (bigger) size of the place in relation to the (lower) attendance.
But if 200 people were really expected and had all shown up, the place would've been perfect... shame on them ;-)

The dresscode was not really enforced, which is understandable on the tail of the heatwave, but I find that it helps giving a sharp, sophiticated edge, in line with the agency and their choice of party location.

Dude, you need to go to Hawaii and verify for yourself. If you think that Hawaii is all about old grannies in retirement homes, then you honestly don't know what you're talking about!

All joking aside, was just a suggestion of a theme that promotes less clothes for the summer (since it's usually scorching at that time), but no real theme is required.

As I said in a previous post, it's more about the women than anything. Just make it simple (in terms of location, rules, etc), so that it's easily accessible to everyone.

Those GG parties were great.

Oh they where, don't get me wrong. Its just at times there was way too many peoples for the size of the place. When the outside was not open (like in winter) it was really a problem. I remember at one party the guest list (on the clients size) was smaller by choice of Iggy (but still just as much ladies) and it was a lot better. We had space to move inside. But yes Mike has always been awesome in these parties and Iggy always did a great job to organize.

Some of these parties also had a "pre-party" the night before and honestly i enjoyed those nearly as much if not more than the main party itself. James would show up with a few girls after there shift and it would be much easier to talk to them as there ain't tons of clients around them. We would often just sit 3-4 guys around a table with 2-3 girls in an overall general conversation.

I got to say one thing, wich is in every parties, sometimes its hard to talk to certain girls. Panther mentioned he had trouble speaking to Sonia this time for instance. Personally i was lucky since i arrived very early on i was able to chat with her 1 on 1 for a little while. But later there was one particular guy wich was one of her regular that spent a great deal of the evening with her and they where really into there private conversation. I can understand other guys being a bit "intimidated" to "invade" there space. Hell even myself i sat a few times on the bench outside with them (to rest my feet and get some fresh air) and it was pretty much like i wasn't there... lol

But other times when its your time and you talk 1 on 1 with somebody and then a guy (that is not the shy type and take lots of space figuratively speaking) just show up and pretty much shotgun your conversation right in the face, starting his own thing, when you had barely 2 mins alone with the girl. ohhh how frustrating. Its especially harder for me to "abord" a girl as i often feel my passions and hobbies are different from those "business men" and i still am shy to engage in conversation as i don't partake in dating in my life. I don't have this problem when booking but its a different thing, since she is there just for me, the clock is ticking, and if the conversation goes nowhere we can always engage the action sooner lol.

But there is always girls in parties that i wanted to talk to and end up not being able to. Thats why when a girl comes and introduce herself to me and initiate the conversation, that feel so much like a relief and its so much easier, that is obviously if there is not another guy who just come to shotgun the thing.

Note to all agency girls and independant, if you see me sitting alone its either because

A) im resting my feet
B) im just shy to abord you, if your with somebody (and also out of respect for the other guy who is talking to you at that moment)

and certainly not because im angry, bored or want to be left alone or whatever lol

Lots of us never met the providers present and all we want is 10mins alone with them to initiate a bit of conversation, see the style of the girl and see if it would click for a booking. I understand its cool to spend more time with a regular of yours, but while you have the chance to see her often, we never had that chance and would like to use this opportunity to do so.

Thats why its great when there is a huge number of girls. More girls = more opportunities for guys to engage with them as other guys are busy with other girls.

As much as i enjoy talking to my fellow merbiste and exchanging infos, stories and such, one of the principal aspect of the parties is to meet the ladies.

Hope nobody is gonna take this up badly, but i think its important to say it.

Hummmm you never been to a spring break or seen one in the movies? Peoples are always dressed lightly with ornaments in there necks (reminiscent of the hawaian stuff) and it can be awesome. Now would the lady be willing to come in a bikini top and hawaian skirt? Thats another story. But it can always be optional.

For me and probably most guys....themes are unimportant. The dress code should be comfortable, clean and please use deodorant and take a shower before.
The only exception would be if the girls want to put on a Victoria`s Secret type of show.

Soda ratio`s don`t really matter if the total attendance is much lower than expected.

I think Iggy gave a atmosphere of casual and comfortable which is what I didn't get from the email saying what to wear. I cancelled after that email because I got a gut feeling about the atmosphere. I would also say that I would guess most guys go to meet the ladies and if they show up later in the evening in small amounts then that doesn't go well for a fun evening.

I went to last year's Unicorns/MM Halloween party as well as the March GB party and this one. These parties are supremely important to me as I don't speak any French, so I attended in order to meet all the new girls that came, have conversation with them and see if there is any'spark' between us. So I'm VERY supportive of Jasmine and the Unicorn team for throwing these parties!! At the end of the evening I had compiled a 'short list' of new girls that I wanted to spend more time with - and Mia of Unicorns is at the top of my list! And of course it was great to see my favorites again - especially Sonia who is at the top of my 'must repeat again very soon!' list.

So please everyone don't criticize Jasmine for trying. As for the other agency owners who decided not to support the event...why not? Perhaps you should host your own parties, and you'll find that it's a lot of work to find a venue, arrange for snacks, drinks, DJ, publicity, etc. Or can it be that you don't care to introduce your girls to the community?

As for this party's venue, well, diplomatically I'd have to say that I liked the venue for the Halloween party or the March GB better. I found that parking near this one was a problem, I finally found an open 'local community only' parking spot about 4 blocks away, took a chance and luckily did not get a ticket. So this one was my bad - for me, next time take a taxi !!

Jasmine, I hope that you will host a Halloween party - I've already got about five costumes to choose from (acquired for future roleplays with the Unicorn gals!).

Perhaps you should host your own parties, and you'll find that it's a lot of work to find a venue, arrange for snacks, drinks, DJ, publicity, etc. Or can it be that you don't care to introduce your girls to the community?

I don't think any one is maliciously criticizing her. Personally i said it before im glad i went at the party and im gratefull Jasmine decided to do it once again. Its clear that she truly love the business and the peoples in it, both the girls and the clients. You don't have to look any further than the personalized concept of her agency to notice it.

There was a time where there was a bunch of parties thrown back to back sometimes with only 2 months of difference between them. I even missed some of them myself because they where too close to each other and i had no time to meet privately the ladies i wanted from the last party. At one point Iggy even tough i was not interested in them anymore, wich was not the case, it was just that there was , at least for me, too much of them close to each other. So as a community maybe we got "used" to them and forgot that the parties where never "got for granted" , hope i have the right english expression. What im trying to say is that no agency is forced to do them. The ones that do them do it out of there good will and we should be thankfull for that. Im not saying it may not be beneficial for them, but we could get no parties at all...

Do i wish all agencies would participate? Obviously yes. There some girls in some agencies that im interested in by reviews/pictures but am not sure and i could get a better idea that way. But i supose those agency either feel they don't need it (there already booked enough) or the girls don't want to loose a working night for it. Its understandable.

But to get back on the critics some peoples expressed, like i said i don't think there malicious at all, its just that some aspect could had been improved and i think its a good thing to say it so next party is even better.

There is definately aspect that where improved from previous parties, for instance the music, it was always my main complaint on every parties, but this time around it was not too loud ! Especially in the earlier hours. I could talk fine with peoples and didn't had to yell or have peoples repeat (too much lol)

And even tough the food is always good at every parties, man those cupcakes... arrrrggg , i limited myself to 3 because i am on diet, but damn they where good !! And yes the vagina design was funny
