I hate virtue signaling. I'm sick and tired of holier than thou people spewing PC group think while looking down their noses at the rest of us. We make heroes out of junkies because it is politically expedient to do so. We black out our avatars as a sign of solidarity on social media. The worst for me are the yard signs. In this house we believe...They are sprouting up all over the place and I thought that they would disappear after the election but no. What you are really saying with this sign is that you are better than everyone else.
This photo was taken in a well to do neighborhood where homes sell for $300K to 1MM$. There is a pantry, a library, one of those In this House We Believe signs and another sign not photographed that reminds us that Hate Has No Home Here. This is one of a few pantry/libraries in this neighborhood. There are no working poor or homeless within walking distance of the pantry. There is a library and a book store within the city limits. I'm sure that the person that lives here feels really good about themselves in the $1MM+ estate. Maybe neighbors share with one another, I don't know. On the face it is not a bad thing but WTF? To me this is nothing but elevated virtue signaling. Very stylish for the liberal elite crowd. What is driving this? Did I miss the memo?
