The charter and the referendum are just distractions from the real issue that affects people - the economy of this province.

I second that. PQ tried to pass some economy-related laws at the beginning, these laws were unpopular. Most implied increasing taxes for an already-highly-taxed population. HQ has just increased its rates, it is getting more and more expensive to live in Quebec and we don't even see where our tax dollars are going.

Voting Caq !! The liberal by the way trippled the debt of quebec by the way in giving money to their friends .. that's why the roads are so bad !! Pq can't repair everything in one year ! But Legault is a savy business man and less of a old politician tha all the others That's why I vote CAQ.. Do not worry about Pauline she's not going to be PM again.. Couillard is an opportunistic bastard , remember that he quit is job of minister after he long before negotiated a contract with a private firm . Legault is the way to go for me !

What about the Green Party?

Electoral posters in my riding read "FOR free education, AGAINST shale gas, FOR more taxes for rich people". I've seen other posters in other ridings that also say "FOR free public transit".

I already voted for the green party at least once when I did not know to whom I should give my vote, it was like these guys are cool so let me give them a very humble pat on the shoulders. I voted for Quebec Solidaire in 2012 also because I found Françoise David and Amir Kadir cool, though I really don't want them to win a majority any time soon. Otherwise, they will set the first communist country in North America and we will be enjoying the chants of the Quebec Red Army every morning we wake up.

Free transit for all is not realistic, Mme David mentioned that during the last debate. In 2012, Legault also entertained us with some of those crazy promises. I think that he learned his lesson since then and found out how to back up his promises with numbers which makes him a more credible candidates (that does not mean this his promises are realistic, though).

The green party did not put any posters in my riding, as a matter of fact I have only found out that there are some green party candidates in this mayhem accidentally today. Poor green party candidates, they cannot afford hanging electoral posters in a capitalistic riding like mine where they have zero chances to win.

I am going to start my own party on the next elections. My program will be free hobbying for all and trolls-free review boards (I will have to cut on education and health services though).

Voting Caq !!

I agree with you.

I don't think the CAQ hasa hope of forming a government this time around but it would be good if they were the official opposition - then people can get an idea what they are REALLY about.
It's easy to make all sorts of promises during an election campaign.

that's it - keep up this stupid game of voting out the party of business, the Liberals......I'm stunned by the naivety of people in general. Vote for the party that is about a stable business climate, then maybe you'll get more money in your paycheck to spend on hookers

Vote CAQ if you want a bright future.

Was that an ironic statement?

I think voting CAQ will bring no future at all.
We end up with another minority government and everything will essentially be on hold until the next election - not exactly what Quebec needs.

Although I agree with you guys for change, I do believe the CAQ does not have the necessary resources to be in government as of yet, but they do make an interesting competitor or oppostition. Let's see what the future holds !!

Legault is a good communicator and I think that is pretty much all what he can do. Cutting a credit card in halves in front of TV cameras will sure impress many people but will it really help decrease the debt of Quebec?

In many countries, elections have turned to comedy shows and candidates act more and more like entertainers. Don't sell me dreams or make me laugh, we need professional politicians who are able to deliver.
