Watch out, Someone tried to blackmail me using MERB

Someone with a MERB account catfished me on Seeking Arrangement and tried to blackmail me.
He got my phone number off a post I had in the MERB.ca Buy & Sell Zone.

He created a fake profile Women's profile on SA and we messaged back and forth.
Gave him my number and we exchanged messages on Whatsapp.

He called me on my number tonight and said we could have "an arrangement" so that he stays quiet.
Or else he'd unleash what he found on SA and Merb concerning me.

I instantly blocked him on Whatsapp and on my phone.

So if you're reading this whoever you are, you're an absolute dick.

Long time before coming to Canada when there was no internet or even cell phone, people used to get free ads with their picture for friendship. I saw a friendship ad from a girl, I wrote a letter and got the answer. after few letters exchange I asked the picture, the dude sent me an actress picture, I kept quite.
After I also advertised for friendship in the same magazine but instead of giving the real address, I used my friend's post box number. The same guy wrote me letter assuming that I am a girl.
The same guy wrote to me for friendship, I answered his letter but used my friend to write the he should not recognise the handwriting. After exchange of few letter the guy asked my picture.
I sent him back the same actress's picture which he sent me and wrote back Do you like my Picture?
Never got an ansewer.

I don't think anybody would care or even notice if someone "unleashed" what they had on me.

I once received a very generic threat to tell all my contacts what kind of porn I watch ( no specifics because they had no clue ) unless I sent some bitcoins.
It started with " I know your password " and indeed the message contained one of my old passwords.
I ignored it and of course, nothing happened.

I took down the entire thread, next season i'll just do PM me.
I definitely learned my lesson.
