I'm grateful for going away to a chalet on a long weekend with a bunch of my best friends and getting hammered, as we do every year.

I should be back early next week.

Be good and take care, friends!

1. I am grateful that I am in Canada now and not my home country, as I fear I would get the draft (Israel) a war I certainly don't want to fight and should not exist because of our crazy government.

2. Grateful that I have a solid civilian job, the layoff rates for my position rarely exist.

3. I am grateful that I am healthy and mostly if not fully recovered from anorexia nervosa. I can eat two pieces of chocolate cake and not feel guilty.

4. Grateful for my friends that I have met in Montreal and for my multiple male lovers stamina lol.

5. I am grateful for this beautiful summer and for the festivals I went too.

Those are good times, since high school a bunch of us go camping on the last long weekend of the summer, total debauchery and lots of fun. A few have passed away and the group gets smaller :(

I have learned a lot in the past year with many life changes.

But not more than recent weeks where, I have had 2 close loved ones who was diagnosed with severe disease....

One of them has gone through a tough surgery and is healthy and recovering.

The second person is not doing so well... and was just admitted to the hospital again for the 3rd time in 6 months... and it doesn't seem to be getting any better

I am now just grateful for the time I have with them, and I am grateful that others around me are healthy.

A client I appreciate a lot wrote to me to thank me for the time we've spent together since as of this weekend it's been one year since we've been seeing each other :)
This warms my heart so much and I feel very grateful. I also saw one of my regulars today and it was really cool.
I had a rough past few days emotionally but thankfully my clients and colleagues have hearts of gold :)

I'm praying for the person you know who's in the hospital

I am greatful for my family, my health and living in a prosperous peaceful democracy. We are trully privileged to live in Canada. I am also greatful for all the SPs. You provide a great service to society.

Thank you. I have been privileged and fortunate enough that everyone in my life up until now has been healthy that I never really understood why people prayed or why people were religious or spiritual.

But now that I am faced with a loved one's bad health situation, I have never felt more powerless. I now finally understand why people pray and why people look to a higher power.

Many of us know that feeling of powerlessness, almost helplessness, in our ability to alter the course of someone's suffering.

If ever there was reason to believe, it is during times like these and it does offer some solace.
