What concerns you the most about the effects of Covid19 ?

your civil liberties do not supersede your duty and responsibility to a collective society and its safety.

This is true, but this pandemic is not an example that falls under this assertion. You shake your head in disbelief because you make the mistake of assuming your premise is a given to everyone you debate against. Unless that is your tactic ...

And I don’t actually think Ben Franklin would say that.

Some good news - the coronavirus fatality rate has dropped as doctors learn more about the disease & how best to tackle it.

The not so good news - Those severe cases who survive mostly still face a long & tough recovery period. My ultimate nightmare is being so frail & weak that I’ll need someone to wipe my ass. Better to just die quickly IMHO.

Just speak to any first responder. Tales of horror. How about nursing home patients falling out of bed and rolling over under the bed to die.
I know that some of you don`t give a shit …..but some of us care about our elderly relatives.

Anyone here actually seen Covid- patients that were really sick? Just curious

Yes, a few. Have a couple of friends who got a glancing blow, a few who didn't get hospitalized but are the long-hauler types - they still have problems, and I know a couple of people who died (friends of friends of friends).

As far as what I am most concerned about? Systemic damage. It hits the whole body and if it gets past a certain point no one is sure of how much long term damage it does.

Pretty much what Valcazar said ,,, I’m concerned with the unknown covid-19 long term effects

Just recently I was talking with a female friend of mine that happens to have a lot of friends and acquaintances who are flight attendants . She mentioned how so many of them got sick with the virus. When I asked if they ended up seriously Ill she said that the majority did not get hospitalized and most recovered fast
But then she told me in a worried/concerned tone of voice that she had a lot of conversations with these ladies and plenty had developed complications later on .
She mentioned two that were complaining how hard it was for them now walking up the stairs , they were literally struggling and they were under thirty and in good health ... prior to contracting the virus they were in very good physical shape practicing yoga or so she said
So imagine what this can do to those that get hospitalized , in these cases I have no doubt that they cause permanent damage
I’m not paranoid and I’m not scared for myself ( just my family) , but there seems to be plenty of folks going around and saying that C-19 is just some glorified flu because like most of us we haven’t seen first hand what it can actually do

Ok, i dont know if you guys understand but this disease is NOT the equivalent of a "bad flu". It is a terrible, terrible disease that you really dont want to get.

New studies have found that Covid 19 is à danger for everyone in every age bracket. It can leave you with life long problems like insomnia, heart disease, psychosis and brain damages.

This is getting worse and worse and people are still so misinformed... Its fucking scary.

The right thing to do would be to go back in quarantine until there is a vaccine. For my part, i will completely stop hobbying. This is definitely not worth the risk.

You know Happy if you would have posted this scary stuff a couple of months ago .....many people would have thought that you were chicken little....but not anymore.
This virus can attack almost every organ in your body in every age group. The virus has been found in unborn babies.
It may manifest in one`s body in over 25 ways.
The scariest of all is that most antibodies fade in several weeks or months. The second wave will include previously infected individuals.

So do as the Japanese.....wear a mask for fuck`s sake. Japans per capita mortality rate is just around 7% of Trump`s Great America`s rate

BTW I`m still seeing escorts....but very selectively and only those that I`m willing to die for..

Yes, given your risk level - best be careful. Also realize that some of those escorts you see also are going to bars - perhaps not being as careful as we'd hope. Be cautious.

I'm not going to die for an escort.
Life is too short.
I haven't worked all my life, so that I can't take advantage of it now.
As I said before, if we are really careful, like I did, our chances will be all the better.

For me the things that concern me the most is the gradual loss of our liberties and the slow move to a police state. Day by day the government is imposing more and more rules. They just announced mandatory masks in public transit. The government does not stop with the over protection in the name of security. That scares me much more then some virus. The government said it is a pandemic and it became one. And sadly the pandemic will be over when the government says it will be over.

This pretty much...

Im not scared of the virus itself. Not saying i want it, because i been trough a couple bad flus in my life and those are really not fun. I also just started to walk again 2 weeks ago after 3 weeks off due to busting my ankle and knees.

But if it happen then can i do? It happen thats all. And if for some reason im part of the few unlucky ones that dies from it, my time had come. I could die from a car accident everytime i step in one. Im not gonna restrain myself from doing it cause of that risk.

What concerns me about this pandemic is the long term affects in the quality of life that may not be reversed and/or will not return. I am in deep worry about the people I care about. I have a wife and an eight month old son and I have serious concerns for their safety. My mom I have concern for because she is over 65. Personally I am worrying about the businesses I have built and if they can stand for these kinds of shocks. They are doing well right now as they are online businesses but can they weather through this if the economy will get worse. I have concerns for the places I enjoy working out in namely my gym, yoga studio and the Crossfit box I frequent for its awesome HIIT classes. I don’t know if they will be around if this goes much longer.

I do more for my children than for me.
And above all, what stresses me the most is the United States.
Also what concerns me about this pandemic is the long term affects for almost everybody.
