The Odyssey is easily the best film of the year for me, by far. It's a long film, but it totally comes together for that final act. I have a feeling Matt Damon will probably get an Oscar for his role.

I saw it in 70mm IMAX, and it was well worth it. It's films like this that justifies the theatre experience.

Dune 3 comes out this December, and should be another "major" movie-going experience. We'll see how it does over The Odyssey when it comes out.

Overall: 9/10
Did you get the "film" souvenir?

You can love all these things without enjoying being fed sloppy writing.

Hmmmm...for me, I thought the writing was fine for Spider-Man: BND, and was on par with the "best" of the live-action films (SM2, NWH). They also included some new things as well (a bit of drama, some acting chops by Holland, etc.)

Also Spider-Man is probably the biggest superhero for kids. You'll never get a "dark" Spider-Man film bordering on an "R" rating.

To me, "The Odyssey" and "Masters of the Universe" are movies for which you need to turn your brain off in order to actually enjoy. Between the two, I opt for ambitious box office flop MotU. Muscle man with sword fights lich. Popcorn movie par excellence. Like hell will it spawn any sequels or spinoffs, therefore I'm glad I enjoyed it while the getting was good.

I went to see the Odyssey in theaters today and man...i was so bored during the whole movie.

I kept checking the time on my phone during the movie. Plus I took a few bathroom breaks, even went to get some snacks to kill some time lol

The whole time I'm watching the movie...I'm like...Matt Damon's character has to get home in the movie and so what??? I didn't care at all.

We all know he's gonna get home! It was so obvious. Typical Hollywood crap lol

Plus the Odyssey is a Greek story and noone in this damn is actually Greek! It was so infuriating. This film is another example why Hollywood is out of touch with reality and I loathe them for it.

The Odyssey. Just really a Spider-Man and Batman flick combined with a Rounders thrown in with Greek costumes. Also the dialogue. “My Dad.” lol.

Best to wait as a torrent. Well even that would be a waste as SSD and NVME drives are so damn EXPENSIVE.
