RobertNYC,
One of the reasons I called Martin low key is that it seemed to be his way of doing business, plus I met Martin in person and I would describe him as a low key kind of guy. As I recall many clients liked that he posted the schedules early and he was also good about allowing the ladies to dictate their schedules and how much they worked. The other reason I called him low key is for many years he was virtually nonexistent on MERB as either a poster or advertiser, although at some point he did start advertising on MERB. The only time I can ever remember him posting in any of the non advertising threads was in around 2005 or 2006 when someone started a thread on him raising his hourly rates, at that time, from $140 to $160. The thread seemed to gain steam and posts and vented a lot of anger about the the rate increase. At some point after the thread gained steam, Martin put up a long and well reasoned post in the thread explaining the economic factors that led him to increase his rates, which I think involved wanting to keep some of his better ladies at the time. If someone does a search you might find that thread.
I finally met Martin in person in around 2014 or so when a mutual acquaintance introduced us at a concert at the Montreal Jazz Festival. In fact I remember the concert and it was on one of the smaller satellite stages involving a well known Montreal guitarist who played live at that time at various bars on Crescent Street. Martin was a nice guy, and struck me as far more low key/quiet person than some of the other agency owners I met in person over the years, which included John of Eleganza at his party, Celine of Celine's Fantasies, Peter of Satin Dreamz, Chris of Devilish, Martin of Asservissante, James of Euphoria and Sammy of XO. I did not have much conversation with him at the time, but that was the conclusion I formed of him.
