I've never found an appreciation for poutine, maybe it's my unsophisticated palate, or dumb american ways, but I've tried it on a few occasions, and everytime I think I would enjoy it, but it just doesn't do it for me. Fries, gravy, and cheese, what can go wrong? Go figure.
My comfort food, is this particular vegetable soup my grandfather used to make for big family meals, it had this peculiar taste that had bitter sweetness to it. I don't get it often nowadays, but when I do, it instantly brings me back to my childhood and fond memories of those family gatherings.

How about Paté Chinois guys… Steak, Blé d’inde, Patate with a good french baguette/butter and a cold glass of milk.
In my mind if we talk about comfort food it need to be cooked at home, no Uber Eat, no Asian restaurants none of that.
My second choice would be a thick bolognese lasagna with garlic bread and the same cold glass of milk on the side.

With chopped fresh veggies, and an egg, tuna or some other meat ripped up in it. A dash of sesame oil. I'm even finicky to what brand I will get at this point as ramen is not all made the same.
