Robin Thicke was sued for ripping off Marvin Gaye with that song. He was pretty much totally discredited in the music industry as being a fraud and plagiarist after that case. He lost in the trial court and the appellate court which means he is a two time loser and lying sack of shit as found by the jury.

Interesting tidbit from the movie. When the producer was looking for a lead song for the movie, Harry wrote " I guess the Lord Must by in NYC". Bob Dylan wrote "Lay Lady Lay". But the producer picked Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talkin' at Me" instead. At least they let Harry sing it.Actually should mention one other Nilsson tune that probably got more airplay over the years than "Without You", which would be "Everybody's Talkin", a song whose profile was boosted by appearing in the Academy Award winning film "Midnight Cowboy":
