Saxophone or bluesy instrumentals softly playing in the background is my thing, while I am with an intimate partner. 60s and 70s Rock and Country at other times.

I like a variety of music. At times, i'm in the mood for some classic country (Cash, Jennings, Travis, etc). Other times, it's classic rock (Zep, BTO, Eagles, etc). I also like 60's music (Beatles, Beach Boys, Stones, etc). Just the other day, i watched Elvis' comeback concert on dvd. These days when i'm driving around, i'm into Pitbull, Rihanna and i love One Direction's "Story of My Life". Just yesterday, i was listening to Andrea Bocceli and then watched a french country tv show with Patrick Norman & Paul Daraiche which i enjoyed tremendously! And tonight, i'll be swinging to some Garolou & other french folk music!

"Prendre un p'tit coup c'est agreable.....prendre un p'tit coup, c'est doux.....prendre un gros coup, ca rend l'esprit malade........." :D

Garolou?

Wow you have some great taste for music. Can't say the same about your choice of favorite hockey team!:rolleyes:

Serious,Garolou are one of my faves. The way they mixed trad/folk with rock and even progressive rock was tasteful and original.Still have the old vinyl records.

I'm mostly into prog/psych/jazz fusion;Genensis,Yes,Floyd.ELP,Jethro tull,King Crimson,Harmonium,Offenbach,also modern acts such as Radiohead,Dream Theater,Muse,Porcupine Tree,Marillion,ect...

Since you mentioned the Yardbirds I have to post the video of my favorite Yardbirds song (and to me their signature song) 1965's Heart Full of Soul. To me it is one of the classic guitar leads of the 1960s, and it was Jeff Beck who did it, although Jimmy Page is seen playing it in the video which was made several years later in 1968:

I am quite eclectic and there is no preference in my order: classical music, French and Quebecers singers (Ferré, Brel, Aznavour; Desjardins, P. Lapointe, A. Moffat, etc.) progressiive and alternative music (from Jethro Tull, L.Zeppelin to Talking heads, Nick Cave and the bad seeds, P.J. Harvey, Lana del Ray, to Arcade Fire, etc.), some female jazz singers (Melody Gardot), and many i forget.

I will be going, saw them last summer and they put on an awesome show, great interaction with the crowd especially with the women in the crowd, all they talk about is pussy and women with a lot of vulgarity that is very funny, satchel also is one heck of a guitar player.

Steel Panther, May 20th @ Metropolis ...would not miss them live in Montreal for the world :thumb:

I saw them once in Vegas years ago when they called themselves Metal Skool when they were a cover band. Since then they now have all their own songs and pretty much have marketed themselves thru hard work touring and use of the internet and have a strong cult following. I saw them again last summer in Quebec City. GREAT SHOW! even if you are not into hard rock most would still enjoy it because of the comedy aspect. They are funny, raunchy most of the time but hey it is a party atmosphere aka a Rock Show and they truly are very very good musicians especially Satchel like Joe said.

And the encore's are the best when they let any girl's who want to come up on stage and dance and they get usually lots of hotties and many flash or go topless. Check out these clips:

Rockin out in Quebec City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKN7sIw4fU4

Banter with the audience and a hot Mom and her Daughter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4dIBEiUh50

Community Property (A love song by Steel Panther, read the lyrics lol) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12zJ8DvgsRs

A typical encore at a SP show, now just imagine these as all Montreal hotties http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er44RyJ36kc

For $35, you can't beat it for a great night of entertainment.
