Aaaah...I think you're right...my memory is failing me!!!!! I remember now the Johnny Winter concert....

Is it possible that I saw Tim Buckley during a Frank Zappa concert (a three parts concert: Curtis Mayfield, Tim Buckley and Frank Zappa and the Mother of Invention)?

I was there too at Place des Nations (ooutside concert). Until recently I had the half part of the ticket but when I moved to Brazil I get rid of it (as all my LP jazz collection...over 2,000 LPs that I sold for only 500$).

The thre parts show was at the Forum before the Place des Nations (which washeld in 1974 or 1975).

Ok...I did some search. It was in 1972

My taste is pretty eclectic- I'm really across the board. Lot of oldschool stuff; motown, funk, soul. But I usually listen to electronic music. Couple samples of one of my favorite groups, Moderat of Germany.

I also enjoy when electronic music and classical instruments join forces. I discovered this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNyJ96w7A7U by Nils Frahm in a dj's set and fell in love. Or this song is a remake in piano, the original song of the same name is electro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uetgOn_tUI

Lastly, you've got this song by Lindsey Stirling which is violin and dubstep, sounds like a strange mix but they work well together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mb2QoaBy8ao

Basically, if it's not old school music, I prefer music without too many lyrics, especially the shit lyrics people come up with these days. I find they're distracting. I like to feel the different components of the song and just feel the music. Sounds kind of corny when I put it like that haha.

Thanks for the link. I didn't know her. It's interesting...

Speaking of violin, here's the late Billy Bang (he passed away in 2011)

This is great! Honestly, I think it's one of my favorite instruments. Although speaking of string instruments, I feel like I'd be cheating my upbringing if I didn't mention Parliament..

I used to hate this stuff as a kid, stuffy parents' music and now I can't get enough.

Not Brazilian, but a Portugese group (thanks for all the segue opportunities haha) Baraka Som Sistema. Good stuff to get blood flowing while cleaning, exercising or what have you. Saw them when they were here at Osheaga a few years back and it was such a great set, so much energy!
