This is pretty funny

Serious couch potato-ing in full action..!!!
Down side... In only holds 10 cans...!!

Not very good for us canadians who drink real beer from bottles and can take way more than 10...

Another down side... how easily can you catch a flying beer after you've had your share ??? Makes for a lot of spilled beer..!!

How does it launch the beers so fast in the first sequence when it needs about 12 seconds for the first beer to be loaded on the throw arm?

How shaken is the beer when it arrives in your hands? ready to blow or not?

How many calories do you save not getting up to get the beer?

How much faster will you get a beer belly?

How much faster will you get drunk, hurt, comatosed from the beer or the head trauma when you miss?

The Youtube video has a blue screen for a second or two at 37 seconds in explaining that "This was cut from a single take..." You can also see the camera shift abruptly (as opposed to the regular handheld shaking) and even the sounds cutting out in between the different shots. It still takes 12 seconds to load, it's just been edited out for clarity.

The other questions would require many months of studies (and a lot of beers) :D

Beer? hmmmmm...... American Beer? Double hmmmmm.......I will have a couple Mich Ultra's while watching Hockey games at home sometimes, but when going to a game it's gotta be Molson or Labatts. Believe it or not, i had never had a Guinness until my good buddy Special K bought me one at one of the Irish Pubs in Montreal and instantly fell in love with it. Only drink it there tho as they have it at the perfect temperature, usually.

When I was a freshman in college the drinking age was still 18 in Connecticut (it's 21 now) and I used to be dispatched by the elders in my dorm to purchase keg beer. This was in the 1980s and the emphasis was always on purchasing the cheapest beer possible. We were college students without real jobs, after all. Here are the ones I remember being the cheapest:

Old Milwaukee
Rheingold
Black Label
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Miller

As I recall, Michelob was then considered a premium, upscale beer, sort of an HDH beer for college students. I was once admonished for buying a keg of Michelob because it was "too good and outside our budget."

HAHA! How dare you buy good beer!

What about the "Killer B's" Milwaukee's Best!? even worse, Milwaukee's Best LIGHT! I remember going to Expos games and having O'Keefe beer when i was 16, probably liked it more for the way the sexy French girls said it. :thumb: "Lets forget the game and go drink okeeeeeefes bebe" Ahhhhhh , i miss the expos!

I'd say try a Carling O'Keefe, but not even sure they make it anymore. Maybe someone who knows can chime in about that. Labatts 50 used to smell like skunk p**s but man it was good for a quick buzz, again not sure if it is still made, (man i miss expos games when i was underage!) Chercher, try a Moosehead! (but a warning, if your used to American beer, go easy on ANY Canadian beer) :thumb:
Guinness is one of my favorites, and I'm sure I've also had it at one of Special K's favorite Irish pubs in Montreal.

So, for people who don't like the Bud or Lite type beers, what are the better Canadian options?

When it comes to SPs, I prefer spinners to those with curves, but with beer I prefer voluptuous (but not sweet) to skinny.

I find Molsens and LaBatts ok, not great.

I hate Guiness. I also hate most Molson products. They often give me a headache. I do love Labatt's products, though. My favorite beer of all-time is Labatt's Blue. These days, my beer of choice is Labatt's Sterling. It's a light, low-carb beer & i love its taste. It's also a much healthier beer to drink. Prior to Sterling, i was drinking Stella Light. I loved it at the time, but once i started drinking Sterling, there was no going back to Stella Light.

By the way, for beer drinkers who suffer from skin disorders (psoriasis, eczema, etc), there was a recent research that came out a year ago where it was discovered that a large majority of skin disorders were caused by an ingredient found in liquor & beers. However, it was not found in light beers (or its concentration was very low as compared to regular 5% beers). A psoriasis sufferer over the past 3-4 years, i noticed my condition finally being under control (and now nearly non-existent) ever since i switched to drinking light beer a year or two ago. Other people i've told this to have told me they've had similar results after giving it a try.

Being from the west and able to get my hands on a lot of micro-brews, I prefer Kokanee. It is brewed in Creston B.C. and is available as far south as Nevada and Colorado, and as far east as Kingston, Ontario. It is a pilsner and is similar, to me, to Miller genuine Draft, which is another one that I like. I like Lebatt Blue and Molsen Golden also. Widmer's India Pale Ale was available in cans from Portland, Or., but Widmer's India Pale Ale in bottles were filled at an independent brewery in Prince George, B.C. I never could figure it out. They tasted the same for a while, but the bottles started tasting bitter then the cans started tasting worse. I don't think they sell it anymore.:noidea:

It's always good to find out about local micro-breweries. I'm not in Montreal enough to know about all of them, but I'll try this place next time.

If you ever need beer advice about places that serve craft beer in Montreal ( or anywhere else I've been ), please just drop me a PM

Here another place in the Plateau that serves quality craft beer made on the premises :

I left it for you in French CCF....

Dieu du Ciel is one of my favourite place for a quality flavourful beer. If you go there, try one of the following:

Peché Mortel (9.5%): Imperial Stout - "an intensely black and dense beer with very pronounced roasted flavours. Fair trade coffee is infused during the brewing process, intensifying the bitterness of the beer and giving it a powerful coffee taste."

Aphrodisiaque (6.5%): Stout - "Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers."

Corne du Diable (6.5%): India Pale Ale (IPA) - "a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping."

*I've included an excerpt of the commerical description for each beer for your convenience.

I have a case of Peche Mortel, and a case of Aphrodisiaque in the cellar

They actually had it on the beer menu at the Falling Rock taphouse in Denver, Colorado of all places 2 weeks ago

FYI- the St Jerome brewpub location isn't that far from Motel St Pieree

Killing 2 birds with one stone

This is a GREAT Summer beer! I can't believe it but i found it in my travels at a local beer store, far far from Brooklyn and very close to Montreal actually. At. 5.4% it is not too strong which i prefer.

Can't be worse than that Micholob Ultra!! ;)

p.s. How about getting a few cases for the next party? The beer selections at the last one were kind of poor, plus they ran out when Cruiser went to buy me one. Cruiser: "Doc, you'll never believe it. You'll never believe it." Doc: "What? Don't tell me they ran out already?" Cruiser: "Exactly". Doc: "Fuck. Get me a glass of wine then." :D

weeell here`s a little story that tells it all:

After the North American Beer Festival, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Señor, I would like the world’s best beer, a Corona."
The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from Budweiser says, "I’d like the best beer in the world, give me ‘The King of Beers,’ a Budweiser."
The bartender gives him one.
The guy from Coors says, "I’d like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.
The guy from Molson sits down and says, "Give me a Coke."
The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask, "Why aren’t you drinking a Molson’s?"
The Molson president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren’t drinking beer, neither would I."
