Why is the Montreal Review section only visible to members

Is it just me or is the Montreal reviews section only visible when you are logged on (member)?
I find this kind of strange that visitors can't at least view the section. All the other bulletin board let you see all sections but will only allow to post if you are a member.
Why restric this to members only when it's the main focus of the bulletin board?

OK but what's the point of having a bulletin board that people cannot see? You would probably have a lot more menbers if people could see Montreal reviews postings and join as members to reply to postings that interest them

The whole board should be made private and only viewable to members only.

Like mentioned above it doesn't take long to create an account or log in.

I'm not quite sure I understand why we should keep the Montreal Incall section for members only when TERB and PERB do not. Same for most other bulletin boards.
Mods, care to weight in here?

I believe it is only visible to members for several reasons and some are mentioned above, but also so that the wrong people could have access to whats going on around town and better they didn't.

Well personally i think it should be visible to all, since anyway people can sign in and look at it anyway completely free. I feel its dumb to have an account only to look at. Its like my terb account, think i have less than 5 post... i only use it for lurking...

But the only reason i can see is because that way mods can enforce more the board... if somebody is suspended, he can't see the reviews or threads, so i guess its a bigger punishement

I feel also that a clean up needs to be done from time to time to eliminate those members who do not post on the board. No action = deactivation !

Doggy, there is TONS and TONS of people who do not post but are members. I saw some people post for the first time with a sign up date as old as mine or older... If us the poster are the heart of merb, they are the bread and butter, agencies advertise for these people mainly... so would not be a good move to desactivate them
