Habs just have a lack of offensive talent, all the can do is dump and chase and hope they can get the puck in the other end ,I also think we are being out coached
You must be kidding, right? Dude, wtf are you talking about? The puck ended in the net! Game over!. I wonder if the Montreal coaches, after all the hysteria died down, talked to Caufield about being a little more selfish, holding the puck longer, faking the pass to Suzuki,...
exactly game over nothing to critisize its a great playYou must be kidding, right? Dude, wtf are you talking about? The puck ended in the net! Game over!
Gulchenyak is going for revenge since he's got the opportunity to do some damage to his former team, afterAs soon as Galchenyuk made that pass I knew the game was over.
If I may be so bold as to criticize Caufield, I think he should have taken the shot,
Sports announcers/analysts are there to fill in the silence. Not the first time and last time we hear pointless/stupid comments from them. The "objective" announcers on NBCSN were questioning whether Caufield should have passed, so it was not something I made up. It was a 2-0 break, and of course you have to score on it and it doesn't matter how, but paying attention to smaller details is what determines what side of the line you are on between winning and losing tight games. And the fact of the matter is Suzuki was surprised to have received that pass, go watch the replay. It's a credit to him that he put it away.
Oh hell yeah I saw them win that year... I turned 10 just 2 months later... that was awesome... what a series that was... Claude Lemieux goal was the best I've seen!!! Not pretty but it counts!!!I am a Rangers fan, not a Whalers fan- your geography is off because I was much closer to NYC than Hartford at that time. I went to one Whalers game the entire time they played in CT, in 1986, against the Habs. Montreal won the game and all of the fights in the game, and Chris Nilan was in the middle of all of those fights. Do you even remember him? The Habs won the Stanley Cup later that year. I suspect some of you guys (except Cruiser) were not born or still breast feeding at that time. Other than Cruiser, who in this thread actually saw the 1986 Habs play?

Nilan was a product of Southy! Great guy, I met him at a boxing gala event at the Four Seasons!By the way, Nilan holds 3 impressive NHL records: most penalty minutes in one playoffs (141), most penalty minutes per game (4.42), and most penalties in one game (10, while playing with the Bruins against the Whalers). He was impressively consistent with the toughness and did win his share of fights and all of them in the game I saw against the Whalers.
