You aren't the only one. The reviews were all mediocre so I didn't waste my time. You would think DeNiro would know a bad script when he reads one. It's not like he hasn't read a few. But maybe he was offered a ton of money and good working conditions for the shoot and wants his Grandkids to go to Harvard. He certainly hasn't slowed down with his schedule and is taking lots of work.
Over the past 20 years it seems he no longer takes acting seriously & is basically in it just for the money. Although he appeared in brilliant movies in the first half of his career & has made a few good ones afterwards most of the movies he’s been in afterwards were closer to mediocrity than average. The last good/great movie i remember him being in was Silver Linings Playbook.

A miniseries i’ve been watching recently is “Paradise” which stars Sterling K. Brown who’s been excellent in everything he’s made. It’s a murder-mystery & I’m currently on episode 4.

Just finished watching the first season of Paradise, a new show on Disney. Enjoyed it a bunch.

"Paradise is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds."

The description makes it sound pretty damned generic, but it's not. I don't want to say anymore than that though. Give the first episode a try. You'll know by the end if it's for you.

This is a Hulu production on Hulu, currently being televised on and #1 on Hulu. I just finished season 1 last night. Political thriller- Very good. It deals with topical and current social and political issues in a very interesting way and the plot keeps you guessing on what will happen next with some major twists.Recommended!! BTW season 2 has been or is being shot now and Sterling K. Brown says it's really good and will blow everyone away.

Probably the best Hulu produced TV series I have seen since Dopesick around 4 years ago with Michael Keaton. I am not a big fan of "Murders In The Building", which I stopped watching after 3 episodes thinking it boring and stupid. Most of the other Hulu productions haven't impressed me as much as Dopesick or Paradise.

Hulu isn’t available in Canada (neither is Peacock) but in Canada folks can watch it on Disney+ which carries most of the programming Hulu has in the USA. Disney+ is probably my favorite streaming platform along with Netflix Canada.

Actually it is, because Disney owns Hulu, and Disney can broadcast whereever they want, including in Canada. They are just choosing to call it Disney Plus channel because the Disney name means something to Canadians, whereas their brand Hulu means shit. It's just marketing bullshit which you are falling for because the same people who made the show are the same people
broadcasting to you, even though you thought Hulu "wasn't available in Canada", which is fiction. It's a Disney asset and its content is available everywhere.
Separately Disney just bought Fubo, and although Fubo probably "isn"t available in Canada" either, you will see the Fubo content pop up under some other name, a name that is more marketing-bullshit friendly to Canadians.

You're right Disney owns Hulu but that doesn't necessarily mean they can offer the exact same catalogue in Canada and the USA, i don't specifically know about Paradise but it's possible they don't have the rights to broadcast it here.
