I find the comparison with Toronto a bit surprising, perhaps due to the higher number of Indo-Aryans might make it more welcoming to your ethnicity over Montreal. In general I find Toronto culture to be too sanitzed and boring. Its like a cheap copy of the states with a total lack of "oomph".
I dont find dating in Montreal any different than any other city. I find the women here actually quite approachable and I don't find them snobby. But you either have game or you don't. Of course, if you're opener is "wow you're so beautiful", there's a good chance it will be followed by a solid eye-roll. That's a shit opener. Also Indians and chinese have it rough in Montreal. Not saying they don't have opportunities but the majority of local girls just don't view them as attractive or viril. Which probably explains why you would find it "very tough".
For the five years or so I lived there, I never courted any Indian women. All women I was around were Black (Jamaican, Trini, Grenadian, etc). The girls there were just more open in that they made the first move. That to me is the most important thing, I like the woman to initiate her interest in me. I remember I was at the Brass Rail (A Toronto stripclub) and two girls were there (civilian girls not strippers), one Indian and one Mulatto. The Mulatto girl started to chat with me, then it got hotter and she DFK me. We had a fling for a while. It was fun. The Indian girl picked up an older White man. I was younger and slim so it for sure helped a great deal. I moved back to Montreal and it was a whole different story. Women here are just stuck up, they were so traditional, never wanting to make the first move. I do not like chasing girls, I like to be the one that is chased.I find the comparison with Toronto a bit surprising, perhaps due to the higher number of Indo-Aryans might make it more welcoming to your ethnicity over Montreal. Dating in Montreal is similar to any other big city in north america.
if you are an attractive guy(in that case what are you doing here?)it's very easy. Girls will chase you and you have so many options WHEREVER YOU GO. in addition to real life dating apps are specially useful for attractive guys.
BUT if you are an average guy then you have to work hard -but that's not an excuse to give up, it's hard but it's doable-
You have to work on your social skills, sense of humor, career, etc. You have to invest time and money in dating and have realistic expectations. you have to be patient and be quick in accepting rejections and moving oNo

Are you saying he was Shrekked, or Throned?I have a young colleague who has quickly dated via the Hinge app. I even helped him take his profile picture lol
He is not a top model and was able to find a girlfriend rather fast.
No idea lolAre you saying he was Shrekked, or Throned?
If so, it's unlikely he was Throned. If she is far better looking than he is, he was probably Shrekked. No idea lol
Shrekked I didn't see his girlfriend's picture.
Throned, I just know she is studying medicine so she has sugar mommy potential![]()

A girlfriend is not an embodiment of a sexual fantasyI wish I had an Asian girlfriend
This is true. The dating practices are not new, just the names for them. I think monkey barring as a dating term has been around for a while, longer than the others.Hilarious to me that journalists will write a trend piece giving names to practices that have existed for decades (e.g. Banksying, zip coding, monkey barring, Throne) like these phenomena are something novel to current dating.
