The Return of Fowler. Great game, playoff atmosphere and physical. Fowler really put up a wall at the end. Was hoping they sent him down earlier in the season with the intent to bring him back. Fowler and Dobes sounds like a fun goal tending tandem to potentially head into the playoffs with.

The Habs certainly seem to have a better goaltending tandem than at any time since the halcyon days of Carey Price. We will need to see how these guys develop and handle playoff pressure. Will one of them step up and play like Connor Hellebuyck did at the Olympics? That was a Big Balls full tournament performance by the Helleraiser after shaky NHL playoff performances in the past. However it is not unprecedented for a younger goalie to do the same- recall Jordan Binnington around 7 years ago carrying St. Louis to the Cup and going back further in time, a young Kenny Dryden did it for the Habs in 1971, as the oldtimers may remember. So it can happen.

And even if not this year ''THE'' year, future is very bright with this goaltending of Fowler/Dobes and the young talented, motivated group in front of them who will learn this year imo and gain in maturity plus couple new addition for a good run in playoff for many years to come :) .

Gallagher is healthy scratch tonight, it's been a long time!

Dobes will be in the net. Fowler seems here for good.

Caufield is likely back to continue his quest to 40+ goals.

I foresee much fun ahead!

Caulfied has such a sweet shot, hope he gets to 40. Going to the game tomorrow for the 30th anniversary of the Bell Centre, maybe he'll get it then? On a side note, ran into Kent Hughes at my hotel, seemed like a nice, down to earth guy. Even though he's a general manager, I felt a little bit like a little kid and was bit starstruck.

Dach blessé! Je suis sans mots!
It was a tough few weeks for Kirby, who was also face-washed by Nic Dowd of the Capitals the last time they played (note how much Dowd seems to be enjoying the face-washing):

Montreal has an important game tonight against Boston. Right now in the Atlantic Division, right behind Montreal with 82 points, is Detroit and Boston with 82 and 81 points, respectively. Detroit and Boston are the 2 EC Wild Card teams, as of today. But in hot pursuit and right behind Montreal. You want to keep Boston behind you and not allow them to leapfrog you with 2 points from a win. Possibly pushing Montreal down to a WC. So it's a big game and Montreal wants to send Boston back to Beantown with no points.

Kirby Dach absent pour 2 à 4 semaines. Monsieur Infirmerie strikes again!

Tant qu'à finir la saison sans lui, j'aimerais mieux qu'il ne revienne pas pour les playoffs, advenant qu'on y participe. Surtout si on termine sur un hot streak.

Il termine quand déjà son contrat lui?

Another must-win against Detroit tonight. This race is so, so tight.....and we are in the middle of the pack.

Boston and Detroit are just behind with an equal record, 2 point below. Tampa is just in front, 2 points above. We have a game in hand, or a game late, depending which way you look. This is crazy stuff.

Anderson out, Dobes in the net. Let's crush the Wings.

Thursday's loss still hurts. Can we come back tonight vs NYI and leave that behind? The answer in a few hours.
