I have been a lifetime Liberal till Trudope came over
I was a Liberal voter as well until Chretien got a hold of the reins and defeated Paul Martin who was my candidate as a red-tory Liberal. Martin, I would have been happy with as a PM, as well as Marc Garneau.

I immediately left the party because under Chretien the shift that we are witnessing under Trudeau began in earnest. I recall Warren Kinsella was Chretien's Chief of Staff and whenever anyone (white male) questioned the benefit of certain policies he immediately went into the calling of that person racist. He was the master of this form of spin and it was very effective at shutting down opposition. Chretien condoned this.

Look what he did to Max Bernier of the PPC. Ironically, reading his posts on X he no longer supports the Liberals nor Trudeau.

It was the Liberal Party of Canada that invited this type of behaviour upon themselves over the past decade with their reckless policies and appeasement of these very individuals. It would appear that the chicken has come home to roost.

As the Bible says, "You reap what you sow".
It’s the same 5 guys spewing the same hateful BS with no pushback. It’s not worth it.
What will you say if PP wins and bows to Trump, Modi, Musk, and serious money interests.

You do realize that you just used a tactic from the Communist government. When someone does not agree with the idea of the woke far-left, they call us racist, hate, etc.. Communist governments used public shaming to those that did not follow their government propaganda.

Let me remind you, that it was the woke far-left Trudeau Liberals in power since 9 years. Take a look, poverty, crime, homeless, housing crisis. That is the result of far-left policies. This is what gave rise to Poilievre. The USA send the woke Kamala Harris packing and so will Canadians send the Trudeau Liberals packing. Canada is in dire need of a change of government. Why is Trudope bringing 5000 Gaza refugees who will give any adult $3000, and a kid $1500?? In addition to social housing, monthly paychecks, child care benefits, healthcare, etc.. And Canadians will get the bill. Canadians are fed up of this nonsense wealth redistribution.

Ahh okay. I always found Chretien to be a centrist. Trudope took the party so far to the left. Poilievre is the result of Trudope.

Even though Poilievre will be a big improvement then Trudope, he is far from perfect. Poilievre is also a globalist. He will not withdraw from the ridiculous Paris Climate Accord, he will not withdraw from the WHO. The WHO is the biggest sham of an organization ever.

Around the corner
The problem is the Liberal party went so far to the left and how their policies are causing the working class to get poorer by the day is the reason Poilievre is in the lead. I have been a lifetime Liberal till Trudope came over, now I will never vote for a Liberal till they return back to the center.
I am the same I have never voted for any other party than Liberal.
That will now end with Trudeau, he is the ultimate worst PM we have ever had.

I left the party years ago when Chretien became the leader after Mulroney departed from Ottawa. I quickly realized what Chretiens Liberals were. They were the beginning of "woke politics" and tore a page right out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals".

I'll never forget one of Chretien's Ministers, Hedy Fry, the Minister of State for Multiculturalism and her racist and untrue lies about the lawns of Prince George, BC being burned by lit crosses. The implication of this statement was clear. She never resigned and went on to engage in more hit-and-run racist banter.

The Chief of Staff Warren Kinsella for some reason condoned this behaviour, throughout the three terms that Chretien was in power. I disliked the Chretien government immensely.

^^^^ A Conservative MP will resign his seat in the Battleriver riding in Alberta to make way for Poilievre. Carney will call a byelection ASAP. In the meantime the Conservatives will need a interim leader in the HOC till Poilievre wins a seat. The party seems to support him but never say never there could be a leadership review. Just getting Alberta is not enough, he needs to win Ontario and Quebec. Unfortunately the majority of the population lives in the Windsor Montreal corridor so those are the seats that count the most.

The party needs a new leader, imo.

If PP cared for the Conservative movement in Canada, he should step down as party leader and the party should elect a new leader with broader appeal.

Stepping down is the #1 specialty of the liberals, they quit on us one after the other Freeland, Trudeau et compagnie like a bunch of weasels they let us down to install a fucking globalist as prime minister.
Poilievre is a workhorse and he’s there to stay, the party has made gains pretty much everywhere it went from 119 to 144 seats. He’s coming back to represent the great people of Alberta they are not gonna let him down like what happened in Carleton where he served for over 20 years.
They already had a sturdy opposition it’s now bigger the liberals ministers had their hands full and their hands dirty last year they are scared to go back to the House of Commons a large number of them were ready to jump the sinking ship only 3-4 months ago.
Yet older people are deeply frightened by Trump so it resulted in an unworthy red wave across Eastern Canada.
That’s the best word to describe Carney becoming prime minister, unworthy.
He’s a plant, a mole.
