I used to follow Montreal content pretty closely, but lately I’ve been checking out stuff like 한국야동 just to get a different vibe. The scenes are usually slower paced and have a more amateur feel, which I kind of prefer sometimes. It's definitely a contrast to the more produced local stuff, so it really depends on what kind of mood you’re in.

Its no surprise... I mean even US shoots have gone downhill in quality. I am a fan of the old Vivid/Wicked girls and sometimes i watch classic porn and its crazy how they were going overboard to make it appear "special". Now sure there is some of this stuff still done in modern porn sometimes, but considering Brazzers and co release so much scenes so often a lot are very simple in some house living room, bedroom or bathroom (or a fake class that has like 4 students lol).

In Montreal it seem the "good porn" is all on OF. I used to look at Pegas and AD4 every 2-3 weeks to see if a new girl appeared that i am interested to but i kinda stopped as for a while i had zero interest in the girls they propose and while the production quality seem "decent", at least for Pegas, too often the direction is lackluster to me. And it seem the good OF girls have no desire to shoot for them and keep it 100% their OF. Either Pegas etc can't afford them or they just do not want to work for a "mainstream company".

As for OF i seen various degree of production quality ... often its filmed with a basic camera (like a good Iphone or such) and its lighten up "decently" but thats about it. Do not expect anything crazy. But well even Keiran Lee on OF is all the same, like a camera in a bedroom and thats it. He does have better direction tough in general.

Ultimately with OF i am even surprise the websites in Quebec keep existing... They don't really offer a lot. Yes you may get 3-4 scenes for a month of sub (and OF its usually 1 scene for that price) but you never know who is gonna shoot for them and like i said 9/10 i have zero interest for them myself...

There is no money in porn, even less in Quebecois porn. There use to be a porn committee in Quebec that regulated the type of porn that you could see, all porn had to be screened by a committee made up of reps from the catholic church, women's groups, a people from law enforcement and a phycologist. There was also a tax sticker that has to be on every video tape. Now with porn streaming in from the internet from allover the world, the gov can not get any money out of porn

Yeah there is been a lot of porn shoots in other places because California somehow changed over the years. A regression is never good in any type of business so the companies take it elsewhere.

As a big porn consumer (and shamelessly admitting it), i am "strick" on what i want to see in porn and some things do take me out of it. Among some ... Mosaic (In a lot of Japanese porn) is one. Or this new thing wich i call "headless porn" (lol) where either you see no head visible at all or the woman have a mask/blury face. So if the governement get involved its never a good thing.

I think the mosaic censorship is law in Japan, they do have uncensored versions. I am guessing the headless porn is done in Eastern European countries where they can get actors to do anonymous porn for a bag of peanuts.

Yes the mosaic is a very archaic law saying that genitals must not but in clear view but you can see the whole thing ...

The ones that are without mosaic I think it's because they are produced abroad as most of them disclaimer, first seconds are showing some US laws.

For the headless or masked I assume is the emergence of "real" amateur porn during say the COVID where people really don't want their identity to be exposed.

Yes its a law, but i do think they could produce 2 versions. One for the local market and one for the international market where the mosaic is gone. Some scenes can only be found with mosaics and its not as good.

@LeDodo yes its likely that for the masked/headless. The one i had in mind were not eastern europeans or such. One that comes to mind is Miss Lexa for exemple. Her mask hide just enough to be distracting/annoying to regular viewers but im sure if somehow knows her in real life they could easily recognize her. Its barely a "Robin mask" where it barely hide enough to conceal an identity.

Though I dislike mosaic censoring, it can be argued that it's largely responsible for one of my favorite genres - bukkake. Japanese pornographers needed to find work-arounds to prove that the porn was real. Can't show the genitals, but you can show cum. The money-shot only takes up a few seconds though, so they decided to have more money-shots. And voila, bukkake. The genre would've likely shown up eventually, but the censoring gave it motivation to develop quicker. It also gave birth to the tentacle porn genre though, which I'm not a fan of.

These days with AI, a lot of those mosaic porns are being de-censored. The results are sometimes pretty damned good.
