Regardless of the kid’s shutout, I have to admit, Matheson is a real workhorse, after missing 2 games he comes back and play nearly 27 solid minutes! He may not be in the race for the Norris but, he is the Habs MVP day in day out.
Seriously I don’t think Hugues was expecting that much of a package when he did the trade. For sure he knew how talented Matheson could be but, at that level? With his capacity to burn +25 minutes every single game? I don’t think Hugues ever dream of this, and now, at $6M a year, its the icing on the cake!Another good trade by Hugues

Esposito was a pretty good too!Did you mean the Boston Goons ?
That's what they looked like. Same as in the 1970s. Except for Bobby Orr that I saw play in the old Forum.
If you let him cross his own blue line with the puck, you couldn't stop him.
Phil Esposito was an animal! Not the biggest player but strong as a horse. Extremely skilled for his time, in the 1970-71 season he scored 76 goals and added 76 assists in a 78 game season!Esposito was a pretty good too!
