I think if somebody is blocking you, there is a reason for it. It doesn't mean you're a bad person but there's something to learn. Just like I have learned not to respond to certain things here anymore because there's no point.

I don't often resort to blocking but I think at times there are people who don't realize they are being a bit too much. I know some colleagues don't like it when clients constantly comment on their posts without booking for insurance.. particularly when there's a certain tone.

A lot of reply guys on social media can come across as condescending, rude or even giving unsolicited advice at times. It's also annoying when clients "carrot dangle" or send unsolicited messages. I've had certain people here send me DMs just to gossip about the industry or make inappropriate comments or requests.

One guy asked me to post a picture of my feet in stockings and heels and he blew a fuse when I said I could send one to him if he compensated me for it, said I am unkind and not compassionate and prevented him from booking me lol another sent me a message to "congratulate me on my weight gain".

Interactions with clients have become part of our job but it ends up having a cost energetically. I used to enjoy this aspect of my job more...

It sucks.

Found out randomly when I suddenly realized I don't see some people posts on my feeds for a while or when other people comment on her post and realize I can't reply because I'm blocked.

I had like 2 instances I have no clue why on ladies I was following and interacting with.
And some with ladies I don't follow or interact lol

It bothered me for the former as it was all of a sudden so you don't know what you said, posted, liked or did to be blocked :(
That's exactly it.
In one case i'm not very surprised, it's someone i like but i think there was a personnality clash so i'm not that shocked.
Like you, i was very surprised by the other person cause i really liked meeting her, wrote several reviews as a matter of fact, and i didn't see it coming.
So what bothers me is not being blocked per se cause those things happen and it's ok, you cannot please everyone; it's not seeing it coming that's annoying :)

As a matter of fact that's exactly what happened :)

That makes me believe what you did wasn’t especially heinous to quote Law & Order SVU. You probably annoyed them on one social media and they blocked you or maybe you have a different username on the other one

probably yes, to be honest i would have blocked myself too, i wasn't at my best when we met and we are very different in terms of personalities so it makes sense. The other person's block came as a surprise.
And if i'm completely honest the fact that i didn't see it coming bothers me more than the block itself.

So yeah, it is an ego problem :)

I saw Christmas trees out yesterday. No, really, it's not the time. Not yet.
No joke I saw yesterday night that someone had a big inflatable bunny and colourful eggs with a huge "HAPPY EASTER" written across the gonflable at the front of their house. It was all lit up and everything. I'm all for being proactive, but not like this haha

I'm so glad I'll be too busy today to read all of *that* shitshow.

Will circle back tomorrow but I can avoid the headache today ~
