Montreal is just maximizing its revenue haul. They're still up 3-2. More Canadiens home games is better for all, no?

Then again, I wonder if it's good or bad for SPs - how much does the hobbying community overlap with sports fans? Would it actually be easier to book during hockey games because there's less demand?... Ideas, ideas... :D If so, I'm crossing my fingers for a very deep playoff run for the Habs!! :eyebrows:

Good first round. Penguins were pathetic to go out so quickly. Kudos to the Rangers, they do look good. A shame Nash didn't come to the Wings a few years back.

Missed the game last night but if the Canadians Defense (and offense) keep playing like that, Joe.T my friend, that parade will be cancelled pretty early this spring. What happened to Price??? Ottawa has all the momentum now.

Ottawa could have easiily swept thsi series had they started Anderson from the start & had a bit more luck. Montreal has been very fortunate throughout the series. When your leading scorers are Dale Wiese & Brian Flynn, it tells you everything you need to know. Pacioretty & Galchenyuk have been invisible, same with Eller & Desharnais (nothing new!). Markov has been brutal at times & PK has been ordinary. Brendan Gallagher is Mtl's version of Brad Marchand, but other than instigating in front of the net, he doesn't do much.

Carey Price has been very ordinary over the past month. He hasn't been bad, but he hasn't stolen any games. In this series, he's made the saves he was supposed to make & nothing more.

Erik Karlsson has easily shown his superiority to PK Subban throughout this series. Not only does he skate like the wind and has tremendous offensive skills, but he's something Subban will never be: a leader. I'm picking the Ottawa captain for the Norris trophy this season.

As for Ottawa, they didn't play badly throughout the season, but Craig Anderson's arrival has given them momentum & they're playing with confidence. They know they can beat Montreal anytime and anywhere....as they've done all season long.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Ottawa come back & win 4 straight from the Habs and knock them out of the playoffs. They could very well tie the series tomorrow night and then defeat them in Mtl two days later.

The bottom line is that even though a team might have a great goalie, they still have to score goals in order to win games. Something habs fans are learning right now.

During the regular season Tampa Bay was the highest scoring team in the league with 262 goals.

They played 82 regular season games and 5 so far in the playoffs.

In those 87 games they were shut out only 3 times.

All 3 shutouts were at the hands of the Red Wings.

All 3 shutouts were by Petr Mrazek.

Think about it: NO other team could shut out the Bolts even ONCE in 87 games...but Petr Mrazek did it THREE TIMES!

Petr Mrazek:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: Thank Heaven Babcock was smart enough to use HIM...and NOT Howard!

BTW, the Bolts also had the best home record in the league during the regular season 32 - 8 - 1...but they are 1 and 2 against the Wings so far in the playoffs. Here's hoping that's how it remains - we don't want to go back to their barn for a game 7. It's not over yet - Tampa is a damn good team with a brilliant GM in Stevie Y. (It's not like would be if we had a cakewalk against some inept Burke/Nonis squad... but then again squads like that are always golfing at playoff time)

Indeed!! Bob Hartley's Flames are one of my favorite teams in these playoffs, and have been one of the most fun to watch all season long!

But beating the Anaheim Ducks will be a very tall order.....

Was my point. 'Compteur' doesn't translate clearly, or maybe that was the original - how's a hockey player like a computer? is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Ok, tried translate and the last paragraph, what!

The Price was right! If you give him a goal he will close the gates furiously ! Price rob the game tonight !
PK better than karlson .. Ho que Oui ! He can play defense and offense ! Karlson did not make the diference tonight ...

So the train is going where , Tampa or Detroit , hope for the wings !

une equipe de pourris

... dont tu as clamé haut et fort qu'elle ne ferait pas les playoffs et qui a fini 2ème et qui est même maintenant en 1/2finale de conférence... Pas mal pour une équipe de pourris...

Sens lost the only game they dominated. They participated to the series, that's pretty good for them... Habs beat their pet peave in 6, good series' start.
