this is the opinion of so call expert who think acquiring Zach hyman was a great and fantastic move.
If you're referring to me, you're wrong. I never said such words. You must have me confused with someone else.

But signing him was no-risk and may very likely pay dividends one day. It aint as bad as the habs trading heart-n-soul forward Brandon Prust for the chronically under-achieving Zack Kassian, who also has a history of chronic back problems. But i'll say this: a lot of strippers at Chez Pare were happy when they found out he had been traded to Montreal. ;)

Cairo, why are ya bringin up Phaneuf's name here? Do ya have a crush on him also?

Seriously my dear friend, we're talkin bout Subban and no one else.

Let's get one thing very clear Holliday: I am NOT your "dear friend", never WAS your "dear friend" and have no desire EVER to be your "dear friend". Please keep me out of your seriously twisted fantasies!

Re:"Do you have a crush on him also?" No, Holliday, I don't - he's all yours! Go for it!

I'm glad to see you've got Caitlyn Jenner in your thoughts because if you spend your time focusing on him/her, you might be able to stop fantasizing about me.

Repeat : Please keep me out of your seriously twisted fantasies.

I love it!!

What would this great thread be without your valuable & totally relevant input, little buddy? I luv ya! :thumb:

Seriously now my friend, what are your thoughts on the great off-season moves made by your beloved Red Wings? Do you like the great signing of Mike Green? What about the Stephen Weiss' buyout? Do you believe they hired the right coach? What about Nik Lidstrom being voted into the HoF? Fedorov? Will there ever be another Red Wing to make it to the Hall?

Come on, my dear friend.....share this great mind of yours with this great hockey community! :D

Former NHLer Andrei Kostitsyn has made it known that he wants to return to the NHL and would be willing to sign with any team willing to give him another chance.

Personally, i think he'd be perfect for a european-filled team like the Red Wings. They have many european veterans and Detroit favors this brand of hockey. He'd fit right in with that group. What are they waiting for? Sign AK47!

Green: signing has potential if Green stays healthy. He has the ability to provide offense and is better than people think defensively. He also fills a need they have had for some time. 6 mill is too much, by a couple of mill, but at least it's only for 3 years.

Richards: A decent and relatively cheap signing for only 1 year. An experienced and proven winner although at 35 he's winding down. All in all a reasonable short-term investment of the rent-a-player variety.

Weiss: fugeddaboudid.

Right coach : obviously...as all hockey fans know. Blashill has been the heir-apparent for a LONG time. Another proven winner, with NHL experience under Babcock and knows most of the players from Griffin days. Second youngest coach in the league, replacing decent OLDER coach who had worn out his welcome...as ALL coaches eventually do.

Lidstrom and Fedorov: 2 of the most obvious selections in HOF history....as Datsyuk and Zetterberg will also be when the sad day comes that they no longer play. For Lidstrom the 3 year waiting period should have been waived.

Wings: great past, bright future. Sort of the opposite of the Leafs with their crappy past and zero future. To be fair, the Leafs were good once - but that ended half a century ago.

My twin said it. And he was likely absolutely correct, as always. It was a great, no-risk signing by the Leafs. I have a feeling that the future is bright for this young team and it's not the last time that i'll be praising their future signings.

No need to. I wrote that it was a good move by the Leafs. My twin replied that it was a fantastic trade for the Leafs. I've already explained my reasons, and i do agree with my twin. :thumb:

It almost seems like if you're seen as a team leader and popular around the room, you risk getting your ass traded the following year.

Prust was another heart and soul type who wore the CH on his chest. It must have been devastating for him when he learned the news. Kassian is younger, but he's damaged goods and is a head-case. Vancouver lost their patience with him a long time ago and couldn't wait to see him leave the city. He also lacks discipline off the ice. Considering how tempting Mtl's night can be, his time in the city of Mtl may prove to possibly be disastrous to him and it may lead to him being a big distraction on the team.....a team still with no true leader.

Beware habs.....beware.

this is the opinion of so call expert who think acquiring Zach hyman was a great and fantastic move.

To be exact, the expert in his own mind called it "great" and his disciple called it fantastic. I was able to discover this since the expert in his own mind failed to follow your excellent advice and delete incriminating posts 1361 and 1362.

BTW, as an amusing point of interest, the disciple had also called the trade for Nathan "Never Play Again" Horton "fantastic".

That's the quality of hockey knowledge (sic) and honesty (sic) that you have exposed Voyageur 11. Well done sir:thumb:

For the record, i don't believe i've ever deleted a post in the sports section. My good buddy Cairo is pulling your leg with that one since he knows better. Oh, the little rascal he is!

By the way, the Leafs signed Shawn Mathias to a one-year contract today. He got just over $2 million.

What are Marky Bergevin & Kenny Holland doing this summer? Not much, it seems.

Oh yeah, i also bumped into Jordan Caron earlier. He was walking hand-in-hand with his honey. Who's his honey? Genie Bouchard. They make a nice young couple, actually. Now i'm starting to understand why she's lost focus on her tennis game.

Look behind you.
Looks like the Oilers got another goalie, Anders Nilsson from Chicago. I would take Talbot and Nilsson over Scrivens and Fasth anytime.
On a side note McDavid scores 5 in a blue & white game ( means about as much as a high scoring pro bowl game but still )....
