Just catching up on stats and Draisaitl is leading in goals with 20, 3 assists so far today. End of game 7-1 Oilers with Draisaitl 4 points.

Leafs back in first place in the Atlantic after their win over Anaheim paired with Florida’s loss to Vancouver. The Isles beat Chicago & Patrick Roy throws a postgame tantrum because his team allowed Chicago to get back in the game! Love it! I’ll tell you what: i used to be one of Roy’s biggest critics as an NHL coach but i now admit that he’d be perfect for the habs and they very well could be fighting for a playoff position if he’d be their coach.

When is the last time the Leafs went further than second round in the playoffs. They could be in division first place and I would put money on them not getting to round three.

They have been better this year because they upgraded their goaltending. Right now Toronto goalies lead the NHL with a glittering .921 save %. Winnipeg is second with .920%. The Rangers are a surprising 4th with .912%, surprising not because their goalies are not good but because they have had to face so many shots.

Yes they did upgrade their goaltending. However a lot of credit goes to their upgraded defence. They are are big, tough & very difficult to play against. Chris Tanner's addition has been tremendous & Oliver Ekman-Larson has played beyond expectations. Add to the mix Connor Timmins, who's slowly become one of coach Berube's favourites. For the first time in decades there isn't a single thing wrong with the defence. And yes the two big goaltenders have played great but as i said the defence deserves a lot of credit. As for the forwards Mitch Marner is having his best season yet & is in the top 5 in league scoring & John Tavares is playing like he's 24, not 34.

Looks like Detroit recalled Jack Campbell under emergency conditions.
Good for him. As for the Leafs they had some good news in regards to goalie Anthony Stolarz, who left yesterday’s game after the first period due to a lower body injury. Since he underwent three surgeries in the past to correct two knee injuries there was initial concern he may have re-injured that knee. However Craig Berube said today the injury is not serious & it’s day to day.

Kings 5 Losers 1
No more scoring after ordinary Shesterkin was finally pulled & the game turned into garbage time. I suppose the Kings felt sorry for the Rangers & like their opponents simply decided to go through the motions. This is bad, folks. The blueshirts are playing like they want the season to end. A buddy of mine who attended the game with his kid told members that by the third period there were about 2000 people left & the rest went home after the 2nd period ended. He says that he’s been going to Rangers games for twenty years & has never seen it so bad. He said this is the last game he’ll attend this season!

...et peut-être LAVIOLETTE also ????....lolll
Well it’s obvious something is going on within that team & you can’t get rid of 25 players. It likely will be the coach & any new coach even of it’s my old uncle Ovide will hopefully wake this team up. They’ll need to try anything. Maybe the guys should hold a long team meeting at the strippers. And let’s face it: Shesterkin has sucked all season long & the fact the Rangers signed him to the most expensive contract ever given to a goalie last week must be worrying considering he got pulled again today. The Kings aren’t exactly one of the league’s goal-scoring juggernauts & if this keeps up maybe Shesterkin may decide to pack his bags & escape to the KHL!

The Oilers are playing well lately, 6-3 over Golden Nights and Draisaitl 3 more points. Washington still on a tear, 4-2 over Buffalo. Boston beating Vancouver 5-0 in the third, Demko will probably be pulled soon. Leafs lost to Detroit 4-2..

Blues 3 Rangers 2
The Blues were leading 3-0 after two periods but managed to hold on after two quick goals by the blueshirts in the third. Will Laviolette last the year?
