RICHARDSON fired as HAWKS coach....not really a surprise.....BUT i like this guy.....not sure where he will find new job...perhaps more as assistant again.
Criticized for too much tinkering, none of which worked, obviously:

Of course they can! Its not as if they owe anything to the league or the teams organisation. It is very common for families to ask for their privacy be respected during such hard emotional times. We see this all the time.
The family feels like it would be dishonering them if they refused to attend their memorials.

Rangers Bench Trouba Until Trade Partner Found; Mancini Recalled
Heard this morning they’ve threatened to put him on waivers if he keeps on refusing to be traded since there are some teams who have shown interest. The Rangers are paying him $8 million per season for another year & absolutely must clear some cap space in order to re-sign Shesterkin.

He has stated he likes playing in NYC and does not want to leave. From the above article:
"I love living here. I love New York. My family loves it here, as everybody is now aware of," he said. "I'm happy to be here."

SHESTERKIN......signed contract...8Y/92M....that's big....
I never thought he’d get the money he was asking for & kidos to him he got the big contract. He’s now the highest paid goalie in the entire history of hockey & after the Habs gave Carey Price $10.5 million per season 5 years ago that record was bound to be broken! $11.5 million per season for 8 years! Wow!

Jacob Trouba traded to Anaheim
No surprise considering he was told he’d be waived if he kept on vetoing trades the team had made with the likes of Detroit & Columbus! Now he gets to live in beautiful California & play golf all year long & his wife gets to play doctor in Hollywood!

I must admit that i don’t really get why the Ducks would want an overpaid & expensive defenceman on their team with likely no chance of making the playoffs this season. I figured they’d like what Mtl has been doing when they took the likes of Sean Monahan & Patrick Laine off their previous teams’ payrolls & get at least a first-roumd pock in the trade, especially when the Rangers won’t keep any money in the trade. This is a great trade for Chris Drury’s Rangers & a terrible trade for the Ducks! No surprise since I’ve always considered Pat Verbeek to be a terrible GM!

Great CAPS win 3-1 over the LEAFS...their 8th consecutive win on the road.....un record d"équipe...a team on top of his division and under the radar...players like McMICHAEL and PROTAS prennent bien la relève de BACKSTOM et OSHIE....and STROME is a big big plus
.....they are very very impressive.

Trouba Has Parting Shots at Rangers, But Loved His Stay in New York
Last night the pundits on HNIC & elsewhere around the league said that it was a travesty how Chris Drury handled the Trouba situation ever since last summer when they had him traded to Detroit only for him to rightly betoe the trade. They said they broke their end of the bargain by not recognizing the no-trade clause in his contract that they had both negotiated in good faith. They were all saying it’ll be very difficult for the Rangers to expect loyalty from players considering how they bungled the Trouba situation & that many potential free agents would likely pass at joining the Rangers considering tue lack of respect shown towards a veteran player who was one of the leaders on their team. Drury pretty much stuck a gun to the former Ranger captain’s head & threatened to put him on waivers if he didn’t agree to a trade. The consensus around the league is that it was bush league!

Rangers lose again. This time 7-5 to Seattle. The dysfunction continues & it’s obvious the players are not a happy bunch.

Looks like Demko is back with the Canucks as a backup to get conditioned. A long time to be off and hope he gets his form back as he is needed there.
