I dunno. He still has three years left on his contract. Thirty-one other NHL teams would like to have him also. He’s the heart & soul of that team. It likely would cost teams a hell of a lot in return to acquire him since the Sens have no intention to trade him. That’s why they re-signed him to a maximum term contract. Florida needs to try to figure out a way to re-sign Sam Bennett who’s expected to double his salary. I’m also not sure who or what the Panthers could give up to get him. Maybe St-Louis could be a more realistic destination since they have a better group of young players (and picks) that they could trade to Ottawa. Even the Habs would have better prospects & players they could send to the Sens. But it would cost a lot & i’m not sure Gorton- Hughes would want to do this. Especially for a player that fell on their lap at the draft & the organization instead chose to pass on him. Plus there’s no guarantee he’d want to stay past those three years he has left. But playing in Mtl or Toronto is different than playing elsewhere in Canada or in half the teams in the US so who knows?

Meanwhile Sam Bennett had a Gordie Howe hat trick- which is the best hat trick you can have:

Spencer Knight is a very, very good young goalie. I am not so quick to applaud this deal as you. I think it may turn out to be a good trade for the Blackhawks. They are trying to build for the future, while the Panthers want to win NOW and hoist back to back Stanley Cups.

If Spencer Knight gets past his personal demons it could indeed turn out to be a good trade. One good thing for Tampa is that Chicago agreed to keep 25% of Jones’ contract for it’s entire duration. That extra money will be crucial in their attempts to re-sign Sam Bennett.

His OCD is being treated by a mental health expert. Although I think OCD could help a young goalie who is compulsively obsessed with making saves. In any event I root for Knight because is a Connecticut kid like Jon Quick and Tage Thompson.

Is that what it was? Ok so it’s not as serious as i thought it was. I’ve been a lifelong OCD sufferer also. The best way to deal with it is to either seek professional advice or trestment or do your own research to get a better understanding of the affliction. And to be open about it & even joke about it.

The problem with OCD is when it is not treated, for those who are around the OCD sufferer. When I rented a flat around 30 years ago before I bought my current place, the neighbor upstairs used to constantly wake me up. She would start vacuuming her entire condo, directly above mine, every morning at 6:00 am. With great energy and vigor. Making matters worse was that she used one of those souped up older model Hoovers that sounded like a freight train. She was obsessed with vacuuming those floors, she gave it a full one hour cleaning even though the condo was not even 900 square feet, these were 1 bedrooms. One time I said to her, "your condo must be looking good!" She looked at me like I was some kind of wiseass. I was glad when I moved out of there because my current place is one level, nobody upstairs or below.

I know exactly what you mean. I’m not as bad as that. But one of my siblings is married to a woman like the one you described & when i’m around her she drives me totally nuts. I don’t know how my sibling puts up with her…maybe he’s so used to her now that he doesn’t see it.
