Avalanche have played great since their trade with Carolina. Necas has fit in great with MacKinnon. Totally the opposite dor the Hurricanes. Rantanen misses MacKinnon badly. Currently no chemistry with Aho. Maybe it has to do with the fact Aho shoots from the opposite side.COL 5 OILERS 4......a game to watch.....MacKINNON was all over the place with 4 pts vs CONNOR with zip....BUT what a goal/ his second by LEON.....just wow.
The reason for the trade, which I thought wes stupid, was that Necas somehow got into the doghouse in Carolina. He felt disrespected. The Avs, knowing of this mutual discontent, obviously thought Necas would slot in well with MacKinnon, as would anyone with a modicum of talent. Avs fans should STFU and be glad they won the trade.Avalanche have played great since their trade with Carolina. Necas has fit in great with MacKinnon. Totally the opposite dor the Hurricanes. I dunno. He still has three years left on his contract. Thirty-one other NHL teams would like to have him also. He’s the heart & soul of that team. It likely would cost teams a hell of a lot in return to acquire him since the Sens have no intention to trade him. That’s why they re-signed him to a maximum term contract. Florida needs to try to figure out a way to re-sign Sam Bennett who’s expected to double his salary. I’m also not sure who or what the Panthers could give up to get him. Maybe St-Louis could be a more realistic destination since they have a better group of young players (and picks) that they could trade to Ottawa. Even the Habs would have better prospects & players they could send to the Sens. But it would cost a lot & i’m not sure Gorton- Hughes would want to do this. Especially for a player that fell on their lap at the draft & the organization instead chose to pass on him. Plus there’s no guarantee he’d want to stay past those three years he has left. But playing in Mtl or Toronto is different than playing elsewhere in Canada or in half the teams in the US so who knows?J'ai le strange feeling que les jours de BRADY avec les SENS sont comptés......a découvert toute son importance et sa valeur récemment......aimerait sûrement aller rejoindre son frère/PANTHERS ou toute autre équipe américaine aspirante aux grands honneurs
.....plutôt que de demeurer avec une équipe incertaine / avec laquelle il n'a plus le même sentiment d'appartenance.......my 2 cents this morning.
Spencer Knight is a very, very good young goalie. I am not so quick to applaud this deal as you. I think it may turn out to be a good trade for the Blackhawks. They are trying to build for the future, while the Panthers want to win NOW and hoist back to back Stanley Cups.SETH JONES traded to the PANTHERS....good move....will b a big plus....
If Spencer Knight gets past his personal demons it could indeed turn out to be a good trade. One good thing for Tampa is that Chicago agreed to keep 25% of Jones’ contract for it’s entire duration. That extra money will be crucial in their attempts to re-sign Sam Bennett.Spencer Knight is a very, very good young goalie. I am not so quick to applaud this deal as you.
