This is a very good trade by the Habs. They get back a right-handed defenceman that they desperately need who’s netter than the player they have up plus it has always been his dream to play for the Habs. There was also not much of a future in Mtl for Barron. On top of that Carrier will be a regular player in the lineup while Barron was used sparingly. Hughes-Gorton help correct a previous bad trade they made by acquiring Barron for Arturi Lekhonen, who has been a very food player with Colorado & helped them win a Cup.

Big LEAFS win 5-3 vs DALLAS/ a solid et coriace team MAIS les LEAFS ont vraiment une équipe dominante bien coaché.....le fun à voir évoluer.

Jake Oettinger was terrible & got pulled after two periods. At one point Toronto had scored 4 goals on only 6 shots! The Stars have lost 6 consecutive against the Leafs. As for the Leafs goalie Joseph Woll was fantastic & if you look at both goalies’ stats over the past two seasons Woll has much better stats than Oettinger’s. The Leafs defence was extremely solid also & the key was killing all those powerplays that Dallas got. I agree with you that they are a very well coached team & are always very exciting to watch!

Les chances que Savard reste avec le CH sont presque zero. However they were already short of a couple of right-handed defencemen so i believe they’ll be patient unless blown away by an offer. However Savard’s stock is at an all-time low right now so my guess is that he’ll ne a Hab until trade deadline day.

In other news Auston Matthews is out of tonight’s game against Long Island due to that nagging injury he’s been battling all season long which vaused him to miss 10 games & led him to consult a specialist in Munich, Germany.

In other news Rempe is getting a hearing over this hit. I really don't understand the big deal. It's a penalty. I think there is a prejudice against Remoe for hitting guys much smaller than he is. It's not his fault that he is bigger than most players in the league. He is not required to "let up" because he is a lot bigger.
