You didn't mention that the USA is in the quarterfinals after destroying Kazakhstan.....with Swayman in goal, who is the best available American goalie, the other 3 all being in the NHL playoffs.
Strange game. Finland has struggled so far including in games against Austria & France yet played a very good game vs Canada & prevailed in a shootout. I have a feeling they’ll face one another again next week in the medal rounds.

INCREDBLE..... MAJOR UPSET....total collapse/CANADA in the third with DENMARK scoring 2 goals in the last 2 min. to win 2-1....big big deception.....nothing to add.....excep BRAVO DENMARK and EHLERS with a big one to tie the game.

Danes oust Canada at hockey worlds; U.S. wins
Denmark stunned Canada with a goal in the final minutes to eliminate the favorites from the hockey world championships, while the U.S. won to reach the semifinals.

The United States beat Sweden 6-2 to advance to the final of the ice hockey world championship.
It’ll be USA vs Switzerland & i predict a win by the Americans. I watched the third period of the USA game & the Swedes nearly pulled a comeback late in the third however the Americans immediately came back with their own goal to never look back. The Swedish goalie wasn’t very sharp, to say the least. The Swedes had Willy Nylander playing centre again & he was their top player. One thing i’ve noticed over the years is that Sweden always plays him at centre in the international competitions including the year when they last won the world championship in which he was tournament mvp. The Leafs tried him at centre early on this past season but put him back at his usual left wing position after a couple of games. I wonder if they’re not considering putting him back at centre next season if they chose not to bring back future hall of famer John Tavares.
