Les hommes ont été arrêtés dans des hôtels alors qu’ils s’apprêtaient à obtenir des services sexuels de prostituées mineures, a expliqué la police régionale de York dans un communiqué, mardi. Les arrestations ont été faites entre le 2 et le 5 novembre, dans le cadre d’une opération visant l’exploitation sexuelle des mineures.

Selon la police, les accusés pourraient écoper d’une peine maximum 10 ans de prison.

In two separate stings over the past two years York police's VICE squad has been posing online as underage prostitutes and arresting men that hire and then try to meet up.
In all, 32 were charged with a variety of offences including luring.
During the first sting last year, York cops made 10 arrests.
They made an additional 22 more in four nights last week.
In each case, the men had hired the prostitutes, discovered their age, 16, and had plans to meet them at hotels around the region, including Markham, Vaughan and Richmond Hill.
The clients never got that far.
Once the johns, aged between 18 and 54, opened the door to the room, they were arrested and charged with luring and arrangement with a child for the purpose of sexual services and obtaining sexual services from a person under 18.

Yeah youre right i thought they were being charged cause they met a girl but were unaware it was a minor.

Many say they want to crack down mostly were minors are involved, but if the SP & John r both consenting adults, cops should mind there own business.

I actually book less now because of the new law.

A bit more detail in the Toronto Star... I suppose the one good thing is that 90% of the guys who called ran when they found out that the girl was underage. I wondered if that was because they sensed a trap, or had "morals". If it was for moral reasons, why didn't any of them call the cops? My guess is that they sensed a trap. No girl or phone person, or pimp is EVER going to mention over the phone that they were 16. That would be a dead giveaway for me...

I don't think you can proclaim that the guys who ran were or weren't moral. Can you imagine trying to communicate this information to the police? That'd be a fun conversation to have...

its a good law that protect minor and i aproove it ... 18+ its a minimum ... they make the prostitution go bad .... and that what we dont want ... ... no minor and no pimp ...
