OK, this particular passage deserves a comment: It is obvious that you've grown as a moderator. This is a very much improved tone and a very mature one. Yes (without admitting ANY GUILT), before you say anything, I hope to learn from it myself. Sorry to get off message or topic.

Roland suspended. A non-hobbyist who preaches ardently against making the ladies perform GFE service being suspended for supporting a client who criticized a lady for failing to provide GFE service, and referred to the lady as a rental (off the cuff of course). Priceless.

As a former mod there you will remember, as a committee member on the "blue" I called for no tolerance for those attacking reviewers. Same here. Without proof of accusations Cloudsurf was out of line. Goes for Rumples too.
Key point on RESPONSIBILITY...the crux of this thread. I supported Rumples right to review without being attacked. Too bad he was in the right then lost it by becoming exactly the accuser he condemned. No responsibility shown there. Demand it, provide it.
Hope this wasn't too short for you.
BTW Mod 11: "3 hours". That may be taking "Fair" to obsession.

and........and........let's remember you're gettting paid by the word. I get paid by how much trouble I start. I think a board member has only simple board rules to abide by. A reviewer takes on greater responsibility. You're seeking to be objective about a subjective experience. Most of the reviews I've read in the last several years have failed to communcate that to the reader. The essence of a lady should come thru in a review. Each SP has a difference esscence and feeling she leaves you with. A good reviewer can communicate that experience to others. It's not about "I stuck my thing in that hole or rubbed something, etc....etc... Communicate the experience.

The following is in response to some comments in the Allyson thread which I didn't want to pollute further. Bigwheel, I would encourage you to write reviews even if they are not up to the literary level of some of merb's resident auteurs.
[The following is not a criticism of merb nor of its moderators. The moderators do an excellent job and without being paid. (I wish my employees had one or more of those attributes.) However, given the anonymity of merb posters it is impossible to be sure of the authenticity of reviews. The temptation to write false, laudatory ones must be irrestible as a single excellent review can easily increase the income of an escort by 50% for a week.
As the ex boyfriend of an ex-escort and the friend of some others, I am quite sure that a significant number of reviews are written by friends or colleagues of escorts. I wish that there were far more reviews of each escort to drown out the false ones. I think that it is charming to attempt to improve one's writing skills by writing escort reviews and wish that Doc Holliday had been somewhat more encouraging to Big Wheel.

Comme l'ex copain d'une ex-escorte et l'ami de certaines autres, je suis sûr qu'un grand nombre de commentaires ont été rédigés par des amis ou des collègues de l'escorte. Je souhaite qu'il y avait beaucoup plus de commentaires de chaque escorte pour noyer le faux. Je pense qu'il est charmant de tenter d'améliorer ses capacités d'écriture en écrivant des critiques d'escorte, et souhaitent que Doc Holliday avait été un peu plus encourageant à Big Wheel.
