a vaction to montreal

i am a member of terb and i asked them and they told me to ask you.

so i have a group of friends and usually we go to vegas for our yearly gathering but this year we are thinking about changing up and we have montreal in our sites. we are not hobby guy or looking for SP's we are just looking for a decent hotel for about 15-20 people, good bars to get shit faced at and a good restaurant or 2.

i will leave out all the illegal details of the trips to vegas but are party supplies easy to find in montreal as well?

yeah i did that and that is not what i am looking for. i am not looking for the owners perspective on the bar i am looking for the customers perspective and i am looking for good area's to party.

the guys i go with minus 1 or 2 don't bother and as i stated on terb i personally haven't had sex in 5 years for a personal choice. we are just a group of friends looking to party so i thought i would go to the people that know the city. only looking for advice on where to go to have a good time.

Crescent is the main party scene downtown. Crescent has a lot of bars and restaurants. Dirty bars, classy bars, bars for young people, bars for old people. I hosted a bachelor party at Hotel de la Montagne. big spacious rooms. Crescent is center of downtown, so access to a lot of strip clubs: Wandas, Chez Pare, Gentlemen's Choice, Club Downtown, Super Contact. You could walk to any strip club, restaurant...... i hate taxis, so I even walk from Crescent to anywhere (St Laurent Blvd, Old Port). St Laurent blvd has the best clubbing scene.

at any rate, your choices for hotels is smack downtown, or old port,

THE W would be the way to roll for a group such as yours,

and the clubs are in and around the old port, on crescent , and on stlaurent / prince Arthur,



crescent probably NOT being the least best fit for you,
if you like strippers, beer, and sp's then cresent is the spot,

for the party scene , my advice is go a little more high end, = the W, time super club, bonnote, etc.

You only have to walk an underground tunnel from the Hotel de la Montagne to get to party central which is Crescent Street. HDLM connects to a Cougar bar on Crescent Street called Thurdsays and you need to beware of the Cougars as they will strike at you (see it firsthand). If you were French I would send you to St. Denis which is the French equivalent of Crescent Street, but since you are from TERB we are sending you to the Anglophone/Tourist party area which is Crescent Street.

HDLM also has a rooftop pool and lounge which in the summer is the scene for great people watching. It is closed now, open in the summer. But the Crescent Street area by and large is very good for bar hopping and people watching.

For restaurants check out the thread called New Montreal restaurant thread. I reviewed some restaurants recently and one of my faves is a block from Crescent on Bishop but there are plenty of places good to eat in the area if you can specify what is on the agenda in that regard.

I read this post and I have no idea what it means. I answered your question based on the information you supplied. I cannot read minds, but I did post the best place to go based on the limited information you provided in your original post. There are numerous bars in this area, some high end, some low end or average pubs, none that really qualifies as a dive if that is what you are looking for. There are a few strip clubs nearby, within a few blocks, the best of which is Wandas which is right next door to the Hotel de la Montagne. But it is a non-contact club.

and thanks to the people that provided useful information in this thread. some of you took me asking "where is a good place to party" and answered with useful information. the rest of you well there was no need to question me or who i am or what i do in my life, i was only asking for advice on where to go to have a good time in your beautiful city and got the attitude i thought was just a myth, but the french superiority complex is running strong.
