As I mentioned earlier Montreal Girlfriends had Halloween parties in 2003 and 2009. I went to the one in 2009 dressed as Zorro. What was a little strange about that party was there were girls there who were working and girls there who were not working. Everyone was told upon entering the party that the girls who were working and available to see in one of two private rooms were wearing glowing bracelets. All the other non working girls were not wearing the bracelets.
I missed that first party in 2003 because of a huge snowstorm. The owner/booker Alexandra tried her best to coax me into going & even offered me to stay at the condo they had rented for the party. But i wasn’t going to risk killing myself just to attend a party. I did attend the 2009 party but the agency was now called either French Courtesans or Independent Network by then. I arrived quite late because i had attended an NHL hockey game with Iggy esrlier that night. I hurried back to the Sheraton Centre to put on my halloween costume. I was dressed as a cowboy, of course. When i arrived at the address on Sherbrooke street the door was locked. I knocked & knocked for what seemed like 10 minutes or so. I tried calling people i knew who were inside. Finally a hot tall blonde girl who was one of the organizers finally came to open the door.

What i remember from the party is that once i got there a lot of people had removed their costumes. I still wore my mask for a while & after a while removed it simce no one else was wearing one! Lol. Anyways imce i was there Cloudsurf told me i could spend time with some of the girls in a room & i hadn’t been made aware of this. I wasn’t interested anyway. I had come to party! A few people were hammered out of their minds when i arrived. One guy puked all over the sofa! Lol. I remember some of the girls (such as Lola/Lolita) when they heard i was at the party. One girl who was there caught my eye. She was a very cute blonde who wasn’t in a costume & was standing by herself so i went over to say hello. She told me that she hadn’t started escorting yet & was still contemplating the decision. She said she didn’t know anyone at the party but had been invited over by the agency. I remember telling her my advice to her was not to become an escort but if she did i hoped to meet her one day.

The way that party is being advertised it's semi private by invitation as the location isn't being divulged. Sort of the way most parties were staged in the past.

Well, it's not by invitation, you have to contact April to show interest and get more information. It makes sense that she's not posting the location publicly otherwise everyone would show up without paying which would be unfair to the clients who pay to attend, and also it would be unsafe (some people have stalkers + the locations arent always in on what's really going on/who the crowd is, and if they are they don't necessarily want to be advertised publicly as sex worker party friendly venues probably for legal reasons lol)

As I said that's how parties were staged in the past. Except the Iggy parties, and all the agency parties I went to were by invitation. Did u think those Iggy parties were freebies????? NOT

Would it be a far stretch to say that the cops usually have these events under surveillance? One never knows who might be in the crowd. Just saying/asking... big brother is everywhere these days...

I very much doubt the cops know or care about the parties unless they are tipped off, which they were for one of Iggy's parties. I personally never saw it and went to somewhere between 15 and 20 industry parties. "Usually"? Nah, they have better things to do, especially since no laws are broken by people getting together and having a party.

Iggy parties at the end sadly had gone a bit off the rail from what i understand. Clients pissed they couldn't get in, SPs pissed some clients were in (they had issues with them).

I miss Iggy and he was always great to me but i think at some point parties got so big dude felt like the king of the MTL parties. Likely brough a lot of $ in pockets too...

Its sad most of the peoples from that era disapeared...likely due to "party leaks".

When it come to indy companions party they likely invite only their regulars / peoples who booked them multiple times. Make sense as they are a collective. They can "trade" clients this way.

So what? There’s nothing prohibited going on. It’s just a get together/social mixer.

Don't think I said anyone would get in trouble for anything. Question was around whether they routinely surveillance such events. Mix away!

Also might be the only chance one might get to meet the elusive MichelleMontreal (MichelleGunn) in person. Hope she doesn't pull a no show. I'm willing to bet 1.000$ that she will skip tho ;)

The wording in the comment I replied to made it sound like you were talking about April's upcoming party, the one the person above you was talking about..........

I didn't say anything about it or any party for that matter being a freebie but I don't remember Iggy publicly posting the VIP parties addresses either (?)

He didn't and that is exactly what I said above- that it sounded like April was staging similar to Iggy. He decided who came and who didnt and told you the venue privately. There were a number of people Iggy did not invite back, for various reasons. A few times he ran various ideas by me, such as venues, potential invitees, etc. We were in contact quite a bit from 2013-2017 or so. I personally thought he did a very good job, and many of his parties were great. FWIW, I felt like I got my money's worth and he benefitted the community at large. Haven't talked to him in years and hope he is well.

Funny story about one of the early Iggy parties, and it was a lesson learned. I think Halloween Mike remembers the party, although he was in a bedroom with a girl for a very long time during that party, but was around for the incident that occurred. It was staged in a large penthouse condo in a large downtown Montreal building, which was rented by Iggy and others. It was a specific agency party, the agency being Good Girls. Everyone was having a great time for a few hours. At some point, a neighbor complained about the noise. She called the superintendent of the building, who in turn came up and knocked on the door. I have to say that neither I nor anyone else at the party thought we were that loud.

Anyway, somehow, some way, Iggy, who was totally stressed out, appointed me, of all the people at the party, to go outside and deal with the angry neighbor and the annoyed superintendent. So I went outside the condo and there was this very angry woman and the superintendent, who seemed very unhappy to have been rounded up from whatever it was he was doing. They were irate and threatening to call the cops, and making noise about there was not supposed to be any parties in the building, this being a serious offense etc etc. I tried to calm them down as best as I could. I told them that guests were dispersing and things were winding down, and we would keep the winding down activities quiet and to a minimum. That party was in October 2013. I went with a friend of mine from the USA, who had never been to any of the parties before that one, and would attend a few others in the future.

After that, party venues shifted to hotel lounges, restaurants and other venues. It was kind of a lesson learned situation, because it was too many people for a private condo, even a big one.

That was Iggy’s first ever party. I was supposed to stay at that condo with him & JoeT but wasn’t able to make the trip. Reverdy then took my spot. That particular condo apartment was the same one Alex Galchenyuk rented when he first moved to Mtl. That party was also the one where Mike @GoodGirls met a hobbyist named ManApart who then decided to join forces & run the agency together. ManApart changed hats & became better known as James & later left to create Euphoria. So if it wasn’t for that party there may not have ever been a Euphoria! Lol

As for Iggy he made his mark on the hobby. He became a party organizer extraordinaire.

There were 2 prior Iggy parties to that one. The first was in January 2013 and the second was in May or June 2013. In the same penthouse. The October 2013 party was the last Iggy party before they shifted from penthouse condo to hotel and restaurant venues. I believe ManApart was at the prior 2 parties. I met him for the first time at the January 2013 party. It was only much later that he would become James At Euphoria, much like Bruce Wayne became Batman later in life.

It’s possible. I only recall one at the ‘penthouse’ on Sherbrooke during the summer. I regretted missing that one after hearing about a live sex show happening during the party. That would have been wild to see! Lol

I then recall a few parties at the former Lord Berri Hotel, several at different locations on Crescent street (my favorites!), then a gb that i had some input in but unfortunately had to miss & the last one i believe was the 12 men/12 girls orgy at an airbnb which turned into an 8 men/11 girls orgy because people got cold feet & was probably the one i had the most fun at!

There will never again be a party organizer like Iggy! Yes he had assistants to give him a hand but he was the mastermind. These days he’s enjoying life doing what he’s always wanted to do which was teaching yoga & being very successful at it. The hobby misses him!

I think laid-back events where people can connect are super valuable. A while back, I went to a local gathering aimed at service providers and clients, and it was refreshing. Everyone was relaxed, and it really helped break the ice. We had some casual chats over drinks, and I made a couple of connections that turned into good friendships.I’ve also been to some fun gay events that had that same welcoming vibe. The atmosphere was so open, and it felt like everyone was there to just enjoy themselves and meet new people. It’s all about finding that safe space where you can be yourself and share experiences.

I met at least five sp’s that i met at parties & whom i ended up seeing. I’ve also seen sp’s at parties whom i had already seen previously which i ended up seeing again strictly from talking to them at a party. I tried to see several others that i had met but they were always either fully booked or our timing wasn’t right. Parties are a great way to meet future hookups.
