Same. I come here for the entertainment, and occasionally the stuff about sex.
Engaging in discussions about politics and the lounge section can certainly be enjoyable, but it’s essential for us to approach this honestly and recognize that we may be grappling with an addiction to this hobby. Let’s not kid ourselves; if you’re here primarily to read and post in the lounge, as well as on sports and politics threads, you might want to reflect on that. There are certainly more specialized forums dedicated to these topics that would provide a richer experience. Personally, I find myself questioning whether I’ve developed an unhealthy obsession, particularly regarding service providers . I often catch myself rationalizing my behavior by suggesting that it’s merely a cost-effective alternative to dating or attributing it to boredom. Nonetheless, I suspect these justifications serve to mask a deeper issue: a potential addiction.

It’s crucial to face the truth acknowledging that I may have a problem does not come as a shock. This could very well be a coping strategy, replacing my former struggles with drugs and alcohol with this new dependency. Given my proclivity for indulging in extremes, it’s not surprising that I find myself trapped in such old patterns. Recognizing this cycle is not only necessary, but it may also allow for healthier choices in the future.

I visit here about once a day, sometimes a couple. I'm fascinated by some of the members. I book SP's infrequently. I don't feel the urge. But one never knows what sort of characters you'll find around here. I certainly don't come here for politics or sports - I'd go elsewhere for that.

Wow, thanks for the question Obvio. It made to think why I am doing this lol. Loved reading all the perspectives. Might be weird and love to heard people's opinion about my interests.

I was in a relationshiop, but I lost interest in her after she gained weight. As you already mentioned dating nowadays sucks. I do go on dates very rarely but the time and effort I put is all tiresome. Coming to why. Most of the times I don't even have intercourse lol. Just exploring women's body, foreplay and a HJ usually does the trick. But when I want to have intercourse I really enjoy it. Don't know if it as addiction or I am an explorer haha.

This might be too personal but do you think there are real feelings involved with the one you see 90% of the time?

Not at the moment

I wouldn’t dream of thinking I know you or anything but isn’t there a possibility that she could become a genuine friend even after you stop indulging in the hobby or is it a purely pragmatic relationship?

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

Hello, my friend. I truly appreciate your thoughtful response and kind words. I believe that this inquiry about interactions with service providers reveal important insights about ourselves and help clarify your motivations for engaging in this hobby. I understand that some individuals may struggle with accepting or openly discussing their vulnerabilities when it comes to their manhood . However, I value all perspectives on this matter. Addressing these issues can assist others in reflecting on why we are drawn to this particular path.

There is no shame in being a customer or in having an attachment to this hobby; rather, a deeper understanding of the underlying reasons can shed light on why some people may gravitate towards service providers instead of pursuing traditional dating scene in our society .

I would say I use to be a sex addict up until about 2 years ago. With getting older and putting on weight my testosterone levels have dropped. So now, I seek encounters much less and am much happier. It’s like a new freedom as my days are no longer centered around who I’m going to bang daily. I now only look to bang 2-3 times per month.

Congratulations, my friend! Just think about the significant amount of money you are saving now. Engaging in hobbies can quickly become costly, especially if you rely on their services regularly!

Good for you, my friend. Since we're exploring the topic of money and financial responsibilities in relation to service providers, I wanted to revisit a conversation I had earlier with a member who reached out to me privately. I mentioned to him,the difference between addiction to service providers and engaging in casual encounters; that it’s crucial to recognize that the line between addiction and casual spending can be quite subtle. If you find yourself excessively seeking out service providers, spending your entire paycheck, and neglecting essential bills, this behavior may indicate an addiction similar to substance dependence. On the other hand, if you are participating in these activities in moderation, managing your finances responsibly, and genuinely enjoying the experience, it may be more appropriate to view it as a hobby. Understanding this distinction can be helpful in identifying whether you are dealing with an addiction or simply enjoying a pastime in moderation. I believe that this crucial factor can help you determine whether you have an addiction to service providers. However, if you possess significant financial resources, it may become challenging to discern whether your usage has crossed the line into addiction.Recognizing this complexity is vital for your personal understanding and growth.

You cannot just use finances to determine if someone is a sex addict. The reason being is some of us on this board see girls in our life without paying. I was an addict seeing the odd SP but had up to 15 FWB at one time from regular dating sites. You are an addict if it takes up most your time when it takes away other responsible things you need to or should be doing in your life.

It's essential to acknowledge an uncomfortable truth without sugarcoating it: if you find yourself going out of your way to create an account on a service provider's platform, it may indicate an underlying addiction. Let's approach this situation with honesty. The average person does not log in daily to forums dedicated to sharing and discussing sexual experiences. This behavior suggests a deeper engagement that could reflect dependency, rather than simply a casual interest.
Does that make every sex provider a "Sex Addict"? I hope you say "yes" because that is what all of us want/need. Like mentioned from other members I come here to be surrounded by other men and women who needs sex in their lives and to discuss about likes and dislikes and of course the entertainment.

Go look at my post and it's a very similar story to what you're describing here. My foray into my sexuality, barring the odd girlfriend, was a group of girls in the field and women on FL which I learned about from some woman I met traveling.

I think you hit the nail on the head when it comes to the definition of being an addict, I didn't pay for 99% of encounters and when I did the expense was negligible. The issue was that I'd have to constantly check my DMs and Texts to see if I could get to bust a nut on that day or I wouldn't concentrate (even though it seems to not have had any impact on my schooling or work).

I opened up profiles on dating apps for the first time last year when I was in other countries and while it worked more than fine, the repetitive and asinine nature of the conversations is off-putting to say the least.

Definitely a sex addict...I have sex almost every day regardless of how it might interfere with my work or my social interactions. I literally cannot help myself and feel compelled to do it.

Hello, my friend. I truly admire your honesty, straightforward , and transparency when discussing this topic , free from any sense of shame. I believe many members often feel embarrassed to speak openly about their addiction. However, in my opinion, there should be no shame in this regard, as desire and sexuality can often feel as consuming as a drug, constantly occupying our thoughts.

I consider the relationship between a man and a woman to be a social construct that benefits the woman, much more than the man in a modern context.

A man meets a woman, the woman gives the man sex and if he likes the sex he hangs around in the so-called relationship. If the man enters into marriage with the woman, it becomes legally binding, and she truly has him by the balls. When she decides it's over, it's over and chances are very good to excellent that he will pay for this financially for the rest of his life. That is a huge red flag for me, particularly now that my younger siring years have passed me by.

Believing that a man pays one way or the other financially(either in marriage or a common-law relationship), I will pay a service provider, relieve myself of the burden of the so-called relationship and enjoy my freedom. This is exactly why I entered the hobby. Men pay for sex one way or the other.
