It’s comments like this that inspired me to write that post. And yes, of course I was kidding.

Lol! Just couldn’t help it! As soon as I read « Trump » and « pizza » in the same sentence, the first thing that came to mind was that epic rant from Jon Stewart! Must’ve seen that clip a dozen times and it still cracks me up.

Anyway, that’s all I have on the topic.

Anyone know of other Pendeli's style pizzarias in Montreal ?
When I can, I get Pendeli's on Cote-St-Luc, but its too far from my place. I've tried Van Horne Pizza but it just isn't what it used to be (actually its horrible now, completly tasteless imho).

I like the pies at Il Focolaio at 1223 Rue du Square Phillips. Thin crust made in wood-fire ovens. A little pricey but really good.

Pendeli's Pizza
5599 Cote St. Luc Road

I just ordered a well-done pepperoni last night, and it is still reasonably priced. The cost for a small pepperoni is $15.25. I love the long triangular strips of pepperoni that they use. They have longevity and have been around for decades plus the guy who answers the phone is really gnarly. Probably because he knows how good the pizza is.

What about best pizza for downtown tho?
Edit: it looks like most of the recent recommendations (Pendeli's, Il Focolaio) are downtown.

I've had Brigade Pizza on Stanley quite a number of times. They mostly serve Magherita style (Neapolitan) pizzas. What I had a few weeks ago was the proscuitto/arugula one. It's very delicious, but not cheap or filling. One pie usually has four slices that I can polish off in two minutes flat at a cost of about $22 CAD. I'm still hungry when it's all over.

That Pendeli's looks like it's going to hit the spot. I don't want foo foo pizza after sex (which is when I mostly eat pizza). I want caveman meat lover's pizza.

Le Surfin on André-Ampère in RDP

Its been a while I didnt eat a pizza from this place because I moved.
I remember a few years ago, I always ordered a Large Pizza Cheese&bacon for 20$ on late night and they always covered the whole pizza with a truckload of 1/4" thick bacon chunks.
I think they emptied their daily batch of bacon on my pizza each time.
I also like the small ball of pizza dough they always put in the middle to support the box during delivery.

I've tried many places in Montreal for pizza but I've visited some of the most iconic spots in the US and they don't have anything that compares in pizza to it, but then again...does any town in North America compare to good hockey, poutine, fun nightlife and of course, beautiful women..I'd say no, lol. Long live Montreal!

I have been in quite a few cities in USA and when it comes to food variety, price, quality etc……
nothing compares to Montreal
and I also super agree when talking about Women (beauty, veriety, attitude) in Montreal
the best
as for the pizzas . You should try the round tomato pizza at Laura bakery on Blvd. Robert in st Leonard
it tastes like authentique pizza from Abruzzo italy
try the campagnolo bread too (round loaf) it’s amazing if you like that rustic authentic bread from Abruzzo

Did anyone ever try Afghanistan Pizza on Papineau and Ontario St? I drove by it 100's of times and was curioius, but not that intersted. But the name always made me wonder what they topped pizza with. I assume kebab and hummus sauce?

Personally, I adore Moretti's pizza.
Cocktails are excellent, the food is both excellent and reasonably priced. The waitresses are stunning, a large number of attractive women frequent the establishment. Lovely vibe.
The traditional Italian pizza is excellent. Here are two more that I recommend: Fugazzi pizza and Fiorellino, which is on another level.
