I find that it is strange that the agency was not able to provide a ''replacement''?

I'll admit not being very familiar with agency as I was with one only briefly but to my sense the whole point of using agency girls is that they are if you pardon the expression more of a ''off the shelves,interchangeable item'' vs the more specialized item of indy?

I do not mean to be rude but a 20 something D cup girls that you choose from a pic in a roster is pretty much the same as another one in a pinch?
What's the point of dealing with a brooker,sorry ,booker if you are left stranded when your fist pick bail?
Just a thought...
But you are right if you go the indy route in the indy world it is the ladies who gets cancelled with 2 hrs notice way more that the other way...

It happenned again tonite. 50 minutes prior to meeting. Pfffffff. I'll go indy for now on :-D

Trust ME some indy are wayyy worst ...good luck....

In my my 7 1/2 years in this business I have to think hard to come up with any times I have cancelled the same day much less two hours prior to a booking. I am sure it happened in my early days when I was touring. Most likely as I always would catch a cold near the end of my tour (one reason I stopped). One time I had to leave an appointment because I got food poisoning. I did not take payment (obviously). He was a wonderful gentleman and I felt truly awful.

However, I do have a nice Black List of clients who are no shows, repeated cancellers, etc... One client in Montreal who notoriously books multiple ladies for the same time and then 1 hour before decides who he wants to see. Another in Ottawa who I am surprised has any relatives left as his reason for a last minute cancellation is always a family funeral.

In any case, I think it wrong and unfair to paint either Independents or Agencies with one brush stroke. These are individual clients and each Independent is unique and even each Agency has its own way of doing business. Obviously our reputations matter and those who take pride in that - well, it shows.
