Don't know what you're talking about, but there are at least two interesting festivals going on right now.

The Fantasia Film Festival http://www.fantasiafest.com/2007/en/ which has been going on for two weeks and has just a few more days to run has a lot of great stuff, but might be too avant-garde for the more conventional among us.

The Just for Laughs festival http://www.hahaha.com/comedy-2007.html has something for everyone, excepting those with no sense of humor. It still has over a week to run.

There are probably a couple of smaller festivals going on as well. It seems there are never less than four or five going on at any one time here in the summertime.
