Changing userid

Maybe I went about this wrong, but I wanted to start having more consistency between different sites. I wanted to change up my Merb ID so I tried to set up a new account. Everything seemed to go through fine but when I log it it says I have not permissions to access anything. Just checking if there is a proper way to do this.

You are creating a double handle it’s not allowed. Ask the admin to update your name.

When you create a second handle you are presumed to be doing so to shill. The presumption will be that you are a shill unless you ask for permission and the other handle is deactivated.
