If you have any friends in New York, ask them what happened to the lobsters from Long Island sound. 2 decades ago, the catch used to number in the millions. But in the last few years, it's dropped off to zero. Why? Lobsters are extremely sensitive to water temperature - they cannot live in waters warmer than 20C. Climate change raised the average temperature of the sound, pushing them out of their habitat.

First the lobsters in New York, now the crabs in the Bering Sea:

And not too long ago, the cod in the same region:

A powerful storm that is being described as a historic “bomb cyclone” is roaring across California and the Pacific Northwest, causing deaths, damage and evacuations and knocking out power to hundreds of thousands.
NBC’s Emilie Ikeda reports from Santa Cruz and TODAY’s Al Roker has the forecast for a triple threat of storms across the country.
After the fires and the drought.

Heavy snowfall hit California on October 26. I-80 is suspended. Many towns in eastern California remain without energy

At that time, the flood alarm went off in San Anselmo. Since the city is currently being evacuated due to rising flood waters. Meteorologists have called the destructive weather system a "cyclone bomb".

In 2021, natural disasters have become more frequent.
We are seeing climate change in many countries around the world.
It's unclear how 2021 will end.

Oui Gaby.

With the plans currently on the table, we are gearing up for an increase of 2.7 degrees Celsius. That would be much worse for the planet than adhering to the agreed-upon Paris goal of 1.5 C.

Time is running out. The scale of action we need to protect the climate is huge, it has to happen fast, and the plans on the table are falling short.

In 2015, almost all of the world's nations agreed to limit the temperature increase to 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 F) above preindustrial levels, and to aim for a limit of 1.5 C under the Paris Agreement.
So far, the actual commitments made to cut fossil fuel use and other measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere — if carried through — will only get us down to 2.7 C of warming, the UN has warned.

At the end of this month, world leaders will meet in Glasgow for the 26th edition of the UN Climate Change Conference. And the pressure is on to come up with much more radical measures to meet the Paris target.

Stop taking airplanes and cruise ships, it will reduce the Co2
Can someone tell Trudeau to take a sail boat to Glasgrow to attend the world climate change conference in Oct 31-Nov 12th ? such a hypocrisy ! take an airplane polluting the atmosphere to attend a climate change conference how to reduce CO2 ! what a joke man !
and he dares to blame me taking my car to work ! he puts more and more carbon tax on gas so he forces me to leave my car home while he is taking the plane to travel around the globe !
The big guys are not even giving the example, and he forces you (the small guys) to do it ! no comments !

My guess is that he might fly to Tofino for a little sightseeing vacation before going to Scotland.

I can't believe nobody in this thread has mentioned the Netflix TV Series Occupied. It's all about the climate change debate. The Prime Minister of Norway, as a result of cataclysmic weather events caused by climate change, orders oil and gas production to cease in favor of alternative clean energy. The Russians, backed by the European Union, invade Norway and force the Norwegians, under pain of armed conflict, to resume oil and gas production. The Norwegians submit in order to avoid war. The United States refuses to intervene, allowing the Europeans to settle the dispute among themselves. So Norway is all alone and isolated on the issue. You guys all should be watching this TV series. This is where the world is headed. World War III WILL BE DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE.

COP26: Today Modi ( the prime minister of India ) pledges the Western countries to contribute 1 billion dollars to his country because of the dammages caused by climate change !
with this sum of money, he will open an offshore account !
Jeff Bezos came to attend COP26 in his private jet !
Biden came with 20 cars full of secret agents !
go figure out this ! .... how much CO2 an airplane emits flying transatlantic ? and they put blame on my car polluting the air ! bunch of hypocrites ! they will force me to ride a horse soon !
