Common escort review mistakes?

I read a lot of articles like this that teach hobbyists about escort reviewing...but...

I know that a lot of escort review sites mention "how to write a review" or "tips for reviewing an escort" but I was wondering if there is a common mistake made by reviewers that readers notice more often than not?

What vital information do you guys find is often missing in an escort review?

I don't see escorts but I do enjoy reading others' reviews. The thing that bothers me the most is the tendancy of reviewers to over rate the ladies they see. You know...the constant perfect 10 ratings across the board. I understand that looks are very subjective but from reading some reviews you would think that there are a lot of supermodels working as escorts here in Montreal.

So I guess I would say that honesty is missing in a lot of reviews.

I definitely agree about the "perfect 10" thing. Guys think that it will improve their chances when they see the girl the next time, I guess...But it defeats the purpose of being fair and reasonable - and letting fellow hobbyists know the "real deal".

I would call it a reference point. I like it when people give an example of what is a 10 for them (i.e. a known supermodel...).

I mean, I personaly discard numbers when they are too high, more so with a new reviewer. Now someone who has many reviews and has been giving out scores between 5 and 8, that's easier to understand. When this person comes out with a 9 or 10, then I may believe it.

Maybe newbie reviewers shoudl not be allowed to give number scores, at least for the first 10 reviews. I know I tried to refrain from numbers when I began reviewing, and I rarely give them even now. This tends to help putting things into perspective... Or maybe reviewers should be logcal and start giving 12-13 out of 10 after a while (10 being average, of course!).

With time, you get to know whose reviews you trust to be more aligned with your own tatstes and you give more importance to comments than to numbers.

Another common mistake is a review without any details. No human side to it. You liked the girl, you think she has personality? Why? Tell us more!

I think numbers are silly. They don't mean a thing since everybody has their own views on beauty.

It seems much more relevant to me when the poster describes the woman. It's still a question of perception but it's a bit more objective than numbers.

One thing that annoys me when I read a review is when I get the feeling the guy is trying more than anything to talk about HIS performance.

That article at naughtyreviews is to be taken as a contructive reference point, as Hormone was rightly suggesting. A review by itself is not a complicated science: what's complicated with just describing the face, the body, the service you've got with an sp? Just describe everything you see/ everything you get, and that's what is supposed to be called review..point blank. Most of the times you see reviewers with long useless reviews barely telling you anything about what the girl looks like, what service she offered. That's not a review..lol...that's just a story. I seriously do not understand why we need a how to on something as simple as this: just describe what you've seen and what you've got! With that said, way too many reviews are not...reviews, hence the necessity ..unfortunately...of such howtos. I also think that number scoring should be used with high caution: some throw 10s on whatever moves! Some confuses punishes the girl's looks for a poor service and so on...so, it's true that using number ratings is risky sometimes...eventhiugh it is not that complicated: to the most an average girl is mas o menos a 5 or a 6, a cute girl to the most is mas o menos a 7/10...a very very cute girl a 7.5, a beautiful one it's mas o menos an 8, a hot one is a 9 ... you just follow common sense and common standards you see in the common world. And if for you, the girl is hot but to the common standard she's a tad behind..just say it!
Also, one thing to do before starting reviewing is to read a lot of reviews on other things, services..etc so that you develop the right technique on how to describe things properly. Of course, it's important to have a guide of ethics (hence the importance of such article from naughtyreviews.com), but a review is essentially pure description of what you get.

Dear Monk, once again I could not agree more with what you say! The best way to write good reviews is to read a lot of them, find the style you like and describe! Leave numbers out!

One thing that annoys me when I read a review is when I get the feeling the guy is trying more than anything to talk about HIS performance.

Oups, I thought this was the main purpose of reviewing! :p :p :p

If only I knew...
I tend to agree on the reference. The evaluation is given in reference to what? How useless is a comment like "She has incredible boobs." or "she has an ass to die for"?

Maybe for THAT reviewer it's true in his eyes but, what about somebody else's eyes?

A girl with huge "FF" fake boobs might be the height of sensuality for some but an absolute turn-off for others so, the "incredible boobs" might be totally repulsive to somebody else. The "incredible", "amazing" and other superlatives are totally useless if they aren't defined with a reference point.

Hello all,

I've never been a fan of the numbers rating system. It's so subjective that anyone could give any good looking lady anything between a 7 and a 9, or something in that range for any aspect of a meeting that went fairly well. We guys get so excited that our judgment and sense of reality takes a beating. But what really bothers me about numbers is, how do you tell everyone on the board that one woman is not as good as another or this one is better in various categories than another like you are rating a movie? For myself, I just find it too cold.

One thing I have discovered is there are a lot of different elements to appreciate about many different types of ladies, and so many of them are as equally wonderful as the others in different ways. I just can't reduce the complexity of so many different qualities to the same statistical measures that say nothing about the differences between people. So I prefer to tell my stories as I feel them and let others take what they may from them. To me these stories say a lot more of what is special about Maria, Lilly, or Michelle or anyone than numbers.

Cheers,

Merlot

I have wondered if it worthwhile to try to write a review.... if the lady I have seen is well reviewed and my experience mirrors what has been said about her experience already in many post.

Should a review be reserved for those occasions when I have something new to contribute or there is no recent information on the SP?

If the lady has not been reviewed in a long time, it contributes by saying that
1) she is still around and active
2) her services are just as good as before

Sometimes a lady may no longer be active yet did not announce it; other times, over time her service may have changed either for the better or worse; so if she has not been reviewed in a long while then do so.

Also, some hobbiests will have similar tastes, so if hobbiest 1 knows that his tastes are similar to hobbiest 2, and he sees hobbiest 2 has written a review, then he will pay more attention to his review over all the others.

Personal biases by reviewers.

For the hobbyist that have seen a lady and likes her, he has a personal bias towards her, if it turned out to be a bad experience then the bias is against this lady. Many times these biases are exagerated in the reviews. I also find that there are a lot of lurkers her and will not give reviews of places they have been to but will take what they can get in the way of recon from other memebers.

In my mind, it is very important to build up info on a lady. If she is well and recently reviewed, you may not re-write everything, of course, but put short summary of your experience. It is always good to read what you liked most, what you found special. You may add details not yet mentionned, also (tatoos, new piercing, etc).

If there are not recent reviews (over a few months) then it is even more pertinent: many ladies change thier services, some have better or worse periods in their lives, etc etc.

This is true, but I think as you read more and more reviews you get to know when a bias is just too... biased! This is why I think that a review style where the facst dominate is the more important aspect.

As a film/DVD reviewer, there's a couple of things I do to let the readers know about my personal tastes/biases that could also apply to SP reviews:

1. Start the review with a couple of lines of Likes and Dislikes. For example, this could translate in the SP context as:

Likes: Petite women, brunettes, girl-next-door, touching, kissing, sensuality, eroticism, stimulating conversation.
Dislikes: Fake breasts, tatoos, biker/stripper look, smokers, hardcore sex.

The reader should quickly deduce from the above that the reviewer is more into total GFE experiences than hardcore PSE stuff, and that he really doesn't care about anal sex, deep throat, CIM, MSOG, etc...

2. Add comparisons in your conclusion as points of reference. For example:

"Offers services comparable to sp_name1, sp_name2, sp_name3"

It's difficult to write objective film reviews because you need to be able to dissociate yourself from your own personal tastes ("Like" and "Good", "Hate" and "Bad" are not the same thing...) Now when it comes to SP's, writing objective reviews is darn near impossible because:

1- We are dealing with human beings.
2- We are interacting with said human beings in an intimate fashion.
3. We are men. And men being men, they will always "brag" about their sexual prowess. :)

But the couple of suggestions above should help the reader "filter" the truth from the embellishments.

Oh, and reviews? Read more than one, and as someone else suggested, try to find reviewers who's tastes mirror your own.
