The point is not to make fun of a possibly senile elderly man. One wonders about the judgement of the organizers in failing to demand a rehearsal before allotting precious prime time minutes. They should have known what he was going to do and how long his performance would last.

Hello all,

I like Eastwood though I never was crazy about the vigilante stereotypes he played. Still what he could have used was the writers who gave him so many great one-liners. It's funny how Reagan got such mileage from one of Eastwood's most famous lines "make my day" yet no one was there for Eastwood himself when he needed it in real life the most. Whoever came up with the idea of having him really screwed up on the plans, and that's besides failing to see Clint wasn't up to it in the first place. I don't see how this did any GOOD, but it sure was UGLY and BAD! :D

Republicans

The GOP were also 100% behind Obama when he decided to increase the troop presence in Afghanistan. And now they criticize him for being there in the first place? Don't these idiots realize that we have tv and the internet? Don't they realize that it's now very easy to go back and fact-check everything they've said??

Maybe Sarah Palin isn't as stupid as she seems, after all.....

Doc, the GOP don't bother with fact checking so they figure no one else does either. Maybe they were all too busy in the Tampa strip clubs. It seems they were packed to the rafters during the convention.

Last night, i was wondering if Eastwood wasn't drunk by the time he went on the stage. Drunk or medicated, i dunno. But he sure didn't look good. I told a buddy of mine while watching it that Eastwood looked like he was 100 years old!!! He was absolutely, embarrassingly awful!!!

The unfortunate thing for Romney is that today, when all the news media should be focused on his speech last night, the only thing they're talking about is "that crazy old man." You gotta wonder if Eastwood was working as a double agent last night.

What do you expect from the media? They are full of Libtards.

Eastwood was fine. Romney was great.

During the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago and the police riot, the crowd was chanting, "The whole world is watching, the whole world is watching."

Today, it's "The whole world is laughing, the whole world is laughing." Here's a taste:

From Brent Spiner ‏@BrentSpiner, "After watching Clint Eastwood's speech last night at the RNC, I'm voting for the chair. "

Chris Rock (yes, that Chris Rock) ‏@chrisrockoz posted, "Clint Eastwood on the phone with Obama now: 'It all went according to plan, sir.'"

@BorowitzReport wrote, "A new poll reveals that Romney trails Clint Eastwood's empty chair after convention."

Ken Jennings ‏@KenJennings added,
"An LA cop friend tells me Clint Eastwood has been driving alone in the HOV lane 'with the President' for YEARS. "

A fake Simpsons cartoon image shows Grandpa Simpson in a newspaper clipping with the headline, "Old man yells at chair."

And a Shepard Fairey version of the 2008 "Hope" poster was circulating with an image of a chair instead of Obama.

Suzanne Munshower ‏@expatina asked,
"I have one question: Was the mystery guest Clint Eastwood or the Invisible Obama?"

Simon Pegg ‏@simonpegg posted,
"Woken up to excited chatter in the US. Apparently Clint Eastwood had an argument with an empty chair regarding its political standpoint. "

FastLaugh ‏@FastLaugh tweeted,
"Give Clint Eastwood a break... The RNC asked him to speak about ObamaCare and he thought they said ObamaChair..."

Obama's Twitter feed, @BarackObama responded with the post:
"This seat's taken " and a photo of the commander-in-chief in a chair with the plaque "The President." It's been retweeted more than 40,000 times.

Rumps, who cares what a bunch of Obama DRONES (as you quote) say or think?

Eastwood was on the money.

Obama is an Empty Suite, Empty President, and the people who vote for him this time around are Empty Fools.

Tell me, Hallucinator41, there are about 10 posters active in this thread, yet all your responses are directed at me. Is there a reason for your continued fixation with my posting? Some would call it stalking.

These 10 posters are all enjoying themselves sharing anecdotes over Clint Eastwood's going bat-shit crazy on national television Thursday night. Is there any reason that you need to come in here and, as usual, stir up shit? The title of the thread made it quite obvious what was going on in here, yet you felt in necessary to once again invade an enjoyable thread in a combative way.

Because rumps, I am responding to your post. Do you have a problem with that?

Yes, responding to my post, while ignoring the posts of others, in keeping with your longstanding history of stalking me. There, again, are some 10 other posters in here, all of whom you're ignoring.

Let me make the absolutely clear, once again: I have no interest in engaging in any sort of discourse with you, whatsoever. I've asked you before to ignore me, as I ignore you. Is that so hard to understand?

Well, rumps, you started the STUPID thread.

If you are paranoid, that's your problem.

Also, I find your posts the most outrageous, and I respond to them. It's my right. I will continue to do so. There's no rule against it.

You are one of these types of guys who complain about non-sense.

Actually, my posts in this thread are no different than those of anyone else. And as for rules, there are serious rules against shit-stirring. Hopefully, the mods will take some action against your continued stalking. They have, in the past, asked you to ignore me and yet you refuse to do so. You`ve even been suspended for ignoring them. https://merb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...y-and-how-long&p=553624&viewfull=1#post553624

And for the record, I see you`ve started a thread on Dinesh D`Sousa`s tribute to Leni Riefenstahl. I assure you that I will not pollute your thread as you`ve polluted this one.
