The point is not to make fun of a possibly senile elderly man. One wonders about the judgement of the organizers in failing to demand a rehearsal before allotting precious prime time minutes. They should have known what he was going to do and how long his performance would last.
Hello all,
I like Eastwood though I never was crazy about the vigilante stereotypes he played. Still what he could have used was the writers who gave him so many great one-liners. It's funny how Reagan got such mileage from one of Eastwood's most famous lines "make my day" yet no one was there for Eastwood himself when he needed it in real life the most. Whoever came up with the idea of having him really screwed up on the plans, and that's besides failing to see Clint wasn't up to it in the first place. I don't see how this did any GOOD, but it sure was UGLY and BAD!
